I'm looking for a little advice. I'm trying to work out plans for a future project. I plan on buying a M814 and doing a repower with either a 350/400 big cam cummins. I want to put an allison behind it. What allison would you guys recommend behind an engine like that?

Hey guys I need some research help. I'm researching a future project with a M814. I'm building my project truck to be an RV (crew cab with sleeper) and tow my 35' cruiser boat on a gn trailer. I know the M814's come with the NTC 250 Cummins... UGH... I am going to need a bit more power than...

One of the biggest problems with the FMTV/LMTV was the cabover design and the cab lifts weren't strong enough and would constantly break, especially with the uparmored cabs. Whenever our guys had to work on them, they had to get a crane and remove the whole cab, just to work on the damn...

So true... done that a few times... its a lot easier with a 900 series...

What did you say to him? I mean really, what would any of us tell someone who was trying to market and sell a truck that was yours, but the person is claiming as theirs?

So Hemtt rims even though they are in 2 pieces are not considered split ring? Could someone please post pics of a regular 2 piece wheel and a split rim w/ lock ring. I've never seen the difference so i'm curious. And technically shouldn't all tires for these trucks, since they are big enough...

The few missions we hauled fuel, they gave us FMTV tractors with armor similar to my avatar. For me, even running at night and in an armored cab, I was still puckered from the moment we left the gate until we drove back through it the next day.

there was another thread about this just today, with the MODS talking about collusion.... just FYI. In reading the rules, I agree with ksM715 and rat 4spd... this to me is a violation of the collusion rules for SS...
