    Will car batteries work?

At 30 batteries, you have quite an investment. My battery maintenance log shows 42 group 31, 12 group 8d, 16 group 4d, 51 group 24, and 12 group 65, plus a few others. The truck from Deka comes around about 4 times a year. It helps to know the route driver and area manager by name.

    Will car batteries work?

For the manlift I would search your local golfcar shop. Forklifts and floor scrubbers also use deep-discharge batteries.

    turbine oil???

Turbine oils are formulated to very exacting specs, and designed to last for years with the equipment running 24/7. Oils used come from selected stock, and have few modifiers or additives. Thus they are the closest thing you will get to a "pure' oil. I worked at a plant years back where the...

    Anyone heard of Multiplaz?

It is another rehash on 'atomic hydrogen welding'. 80 year old technology. may be suitable for some applications, but as an 'end-all-be-all', not very likely. One can also 'weld, cut, solder and braze' with an acetylene torch.

    M747 destroyed by crooks

Ingenuity of thieves sometimes boggles the mind. Case in point, Two years back, during a driving snow storm, a group of thieves cut the radiators from 4 of my trucks, also took my set of cutting torches. $27,000 damage, for maybe 1500 pounds of copper. Same night, another contractor 10 miles...

    5 ton turbo ideia?

"The world is full of old Cummins engines, do the research and find the (more or less) right turbo. It's sitting in a junkyard right now waiting on you..." Ditto what abh4 said. Also, get all the manifolds, pipes, crossovers &ect. from the donor engine, finding this stuff piece by piece will...

    Using a m35 t-case in a new application

Try it. I don't know if these cases have oil pumps in them like big truck transmissions, but I suspect they don't. This means all lubrication is dependant on gears carrying the lube as they turn. If they are turning slowly, they are not moving much oil. In this instance, overfilling may not...

    Deuce jumps in reverse

I've got the picture now, it's the lurch associated with gear clearance/driveline slop. My previous post is not helpful in this matter, please disregard.

    Deuce jumps in reverse

If you mean the transfer case jumps to neutral while backing up, this could be as easy as checking the linkages for enough slack, and seeing to the engine and tranny mount bolts being tight. In certain cases, combination of somethings being too loose, and others tight could cause a problem like...
