    Rear Drive Shaft Disconnect

Ask your Nascar racing relatives Andy. 4 links are used on most racecars. All you have to do is pull one axle shaft from the front tandem and put an extra front flange on it.

    Stripping CARC SS

CARC strips just like any urethane, uses nasty chemicals. If you had a big enough vat, you could dip it in AcraStrip. It is a non-haz cleaner I used to strip paint equipment. needs 140degrees and 50% water to work well. About $25 a gallon, so it would be EXPENSIVE to strip a tank! Aircraft...

    Compressor wrenches are here!

I received 20 compressor wrenches today. They look really nice, they even laser engraved the part number! I'll try one on my truck tonight, then go through all the pm's and let everyone know how to pay.

    Stripping CARC SS

Dry ice blasting or ultra high pressure water blast will not frost the stainless. Also, no hazmat chemical waste to dispose of.

    need 1.8mm nozzle kit..any suggestions?

Try it straight and see how it does in the bed. If you need to reduce it, do so gradually. Too thin and it won't cover well, and will try to run.

    Need help with turbo repair.

I have the turbo manual at the house, but I don't have it scanned yet. Turbo's are rebuildable, but from what I understand, the military just swaps center sections.

    need 1.8mm nozzle kit..any suggestions?

Mike Set the pot up at 20-30 PSI. Use about 50 psi air at the gun, open the fluid needle about 2-3 full turns. Hold the gun about 10-12" away, go for a 8-10" pattern. Too wide a pattern will get heavy on the top and bottom and be light in the middle. Use a 50% overlapping spray and have at it...

    Need help with turbo repair.

Memphis has kits for about $280 if I remember correctly. If the case has been rubbed by the vanes, throw the turbo away, it will be out of balance. I took apart a C turbo to rebuild, found nothing salvageable. Shaft was scored, one end of the ceter section was spun out, and the compressor had...

M923A2 came home with me today!

You can cut the valve stem off with a tubing cutter and re-thread it. Just need to determine the correct thread pitch. It should be made of brass, so it will cut smoothly.

    mod pristene m35a2 w/w or trade/buy m275 comments?? trades??

RE: mod or not?? As far as I can tell in the TM, the M275 has the same springs as the M35. The shorter wheelbase will decrease your turning radius a little, pulling the interaxle driveshaft or installing a locking hub on the front tandem will do more. I would ask recovery4x4 to measure his...

    "Stealth" Muffler for a Deuce?

I have a stack muffler on my truck, really makes it better on long trips. I have thought about putting the muffler back under the frame and routing the exhaust out the back somewhere. I would then put an exhaust cutout in so I could use the stack for parades and such. I like the sound of the...

    Towbar Question - M1028

RE: Re: RE: Towbar Question - M1028 A towbar can be made without too much trouble. I would probably use 1.5X1.5X.25 wall square tubing for the arms, get a good heavy coupler for your hitch (or a lunette if you run a pintle hook) and build it similar to a military unit. If you have a CUCV handy...

    M35 Wheels

RE: Re: RE: now thats a nice looking rim You could make a wheel like some of the 5 tons use, mount it one way for the rears, the other way for the fronts. This way you could get the wheels tracking straight without flipping the hubs. If you already had flipped hubs, the wheels would still work...
