OK. I thought the M602 was the Norwegian one. Still an interesting manual for a rare truck. I'm still surprised that there was a US military TM for this vehicle.
I've used soda blast, water blast, sand blast, and dry ice blast. All have their place. Soda blasting leaves the sheetmetal looking pristine. Dry ice blasting removes paint and does nothing to the underlying substrate. Water blasting with ultra high pressure (40,000 psi) will take off rust...
I had heard of the Norwegian M602, but it had lockers on all 3 diffs and a ROPS system, and singles. I was not aware that there was a "generic" M602 that was "civilianized". From the looks of it, REO substituted standard civvy vacuum accessories for the military air setup, used the standard 12V...
I bought a manual for an "M602, modified M35". TM9-2320-215-24P. I though it might be a manual for the Norwegian variant, I was wrong.
This manual is dated 1958. It looks like a normal gasser M35. It wasn't until I looked through the manual that I found what the modifications to the standard...
Hmm.....sounds like a call to Summit for me. I sold some stuff on E-Bay, so I can afford a set of front hubs. If Ouverson hubs weren't so blasted long, I would get a set of them from HRD

What is the difference between the deuce Rockwells and the RDS 75 and 90? I saw that one os a 16 hole hub, but are the splines and bolt circle the same as far as you know?
KIA makes deuce copies for the ROK Army. There have been some pics posted in the past. Look pretty close to the American ones. I know some high quality new windshield assy''s come from them.
Any member near Adelmans in Ohio? I want to get a deuce winch from them, but it needs to be hand selected to make sure it is a good one with good cable. Then brought to Aberdeen if possible.
Regards
Robert
The way riveted wheels were built is as follows.
1) Dish without holes is set in rim without holes and tack welded in place.
2) Holes are punched through rim and center on a large punch press.
3) Rivets are put through holes and cold squeezed in another press.
That is why the holes do not...
RE: Re: RE: Gun and paint
Pressure feed is really what you want for CARC. Speeds up the process, uses less air=less overspray. CARC will carry a good ways and still be wet. I would try to have my overspray going downwind from anything you didn't want freckled with green paint.
Chances are your sprag is damaged from not using first. The transfer case manuals are in the tech section here, the procedure is covered in detail. I would download the manuals and carefully read them, see what you can do.
A sprag is an overrunning clutch, something like what you find in a starter drive. It transfers torque in one direction, and freewheels in the other. Kind of like a ratchet wrench.
If you don't use the vehicle that often, go to your local OMC (Johnson/Evinrude) dealer and get some marine fuel stabilizer. That and a qt of 2 stroke oil per tank will keep the tank rust free, and privide valve lubrication that went away with the tetraethyl lead in gasoline.
