I am no longer deuceless...includes pics

A retired USMC Gunny who works for me says they used to put a few drops of diesel fuel on a rag and give the trucks a good wipe down before inspection. He said the diesel would make the tyrucks look great for a couple of weeks. Nice looking ride Clint! Touch up the dots on the dash light...

    1964 LDT 465 C part out

RE: Re: RE: 1964 LDT 465 C part out I would be interested in the long block assembly. I have a "C" motor with a rod sticking out of the block. I wouldn't need the injector pump, oil filters, etc. All I need is the block, and head assy, and the pan. Of course, it is a long drive to Winston Salem...

    Yaller 5-ton wrecker for sale

I'm in Carrollton Ga., It can be left at my place for the time being. I have a towbar for my deuce, it would be a bit fun to pull without a "soldier B" in the towed vehicle to help in turns.

    Diablo Build Update (pics)

Just looking at the engine pics, if you take the 12 V alt belt, get one long enough to go around the crank pulley as well, that would eliminate the water pump concern. The 24 volt alt. still looks a tad iffy, IMHO. Remember, free advice is usually worth what you pay for it!

    Diablo Build Update (pics)

I'd be a little cautious about the 24 V alternator pulley, you don't have a lot of contact with the belt. Maybe a slipping issue whan running with headlights on. If you have a load on the 12 volt alternator, it might cause the water pump pulley to slip on the belt that is driving it and the...

    Deuce tow bar

That towbar will take the larger ends. Or, you can bush the clevis down, or bore out some adapters. I seem to have gotten an odd large towbar adapter the other day. I thought it was a medium, but the pin is 1.125. I'll bush it down, and I will have to mill down a little of the thickness to use...

    Deuce tow bar

I have the standard medium towbar. Mine is adjustable for length, and will handle the 3/4" and 1" bumper shackle mounts.

    Deuce tow bar

You need the adapters for the end. What size pins does the end take? The medium uses 1", I have some ends that use 1 1/8" and 1 1/4".

    Northwest help

RE: Re: Northwest help Nice looking truck! Good price for a winch truck if it is OK.
  19. rdixiemiller

Do you like your surplus well done?

That picture of the winch clears up some questions I was going to ask. A guy pulled me over the other day when I was driving the deuce, said he had a winch for my truck for $400. He has a 656 winch and bumper assy, complete with lights. I was going to post a pic and ask about it, now I don't...
