    Jim Henry Surplus - NC

10-4 on John Winslow or White Owl. I always call George at White Owl first as he is such a pleasure to deal with and honest. Usually if George doesn't have it the search is on.I've had varying results with Winslow and his prices are sometimes just crazy as alot of places are. CT

    CUCV cleans up nice.

Nice work. I finally got my shipment of paint from Rapco Thurs and now I just need to find time to do a little body work -sand and paint before the Ga. rally. I enjoy painting my 1009s alot more than I do the deuces anymore. Getting older I guess! CT

A couple years ago I purchased a deuce from GL in Pa. I couldn't tell from the pics on gl but what a kick to drive all night and get there and find my deuce is painted arctic camo-black white grey. It didn't look bad at all. Only problem was it had been that way for a long time and was peeling...

    help with frustrating oil leak

I would clean the engine in whatever way works for you then crank her up and start watching. When I do the rear main seals I put some lube on the side that rides on the crank as to not dry start it. I have seen a couple rear mains ovr the years ruined on the first crank from being dry. Have...

started to replace seals on the deuce

I would for sure replace all bearings and seals on your truck. And understand brakes work on friction and if the drums are all scored and rough then the brakes aren't working to their full potential. To work properly the drums and shoes need to be flat and smooth. I take my drums to work and...

Napa has the wheel bearings but you need to look for the ones made in the good ol USA. I,ve had a couple of the dang chinese bearings fail on me and NAPA has good prices.

started to replace seals on the deuce

Take it from me if one bearing looks that bad go ahead and replace the other one to. The last truck I recovered from GL looked pretty bad so every wheel bearing and seal was replaced just in time to travel to the GA rally in Oct. Theres no better feeling than to know your equipment is in top...
