Nice job. I'm glad the recovery went well. I love lond distance recoveries but don't think I'll be making anymore as I have enough toys to keep me busy for a long time and the long recoveries were always in deuces. Nice truck-ENJOY

My deuces and 1009's are insured with State Farm. Had to explain that they are retired gov vehicles so they can add the vin # to their system. They have never asked if the deuce has 2 axles or 3 axles. Sometimes you can share too much info. The deuces are on a commercial policy because of their...

I would definately change the fuel filter and also check the fuel pump and make sure it is starting to leak. You might want to check the metal lines on top of the fuel tank as they are known to rust and develop pin holes and draw air into the system
There are always shackles on E-Bay but be careful and dont pay too much or an SS member with extra may sell a couple. Looks nice-Good Luck with it and enjoy:beer:
I own a few of each and don't really have a favorite. The cucvs if ever needed towing want cost hundreds of dollars and I can get the 1009's through the Taco Bell drive thru late at nite
