No reason for both to be in nuetral, i like the steering locked,(cant do that with trans in nuetral) even though you could do it with a rope. i have blown a front tire on the towed vehicle without the steering being locked, wont do that again. did damage to both vehicles. my advice is worth what...

    Tow Bar for M1008

I run the transfer case in nuetral, transmission in park. make sure the fluid in t-case is full. this way its easier to unhook and go if needed. steering wheel stays locked if wanted going down the road(in case of a blowout on towed vehicle). i made up a light harness from the tow vehicle to...

the way i do it. crack the the black bleeder screw at the top of the fuel filter. crank engine for five seconds, stop, let starter rest for 2 minutes. look for air bubbles coming out of bleeder. crank again and wait for fuel to appear. this process should take a couple of tries. once you have...

im not sure if the box store(autozone) can check it, you may need to take to a starter place . was it dragging real bad? its hard to test a starter off the truck, because when there is no load on them they will spin good. i used to mount them to a block of wood and see if the starter drive...

you have a starter drawing way to much current or a loose connection at the battery. i would guess the former. you need some help! i would get the starter checked. you can melt the battery post to the point where you will need a new battery!

while you are in the process of doing the doghead relay mod, jump across the relay plug under the dash , your starter should spin. if not you have a bad connection somewhere else.

    Starter Issue.

i think gm is partly to blame for the poor design. most folks check the top nut, but not the bottom. the first time i tried to remove the top nut on that ground strap without a backup wrench on the bottom i spun that black cable around my impact socket , pulling it and the power strip...

    10 gauge ground wire

.... and that other big wire goes from the negative bus to the back of the intake manifold. it gets loose because gm put the ground cable on top of one of the intake bolts with another nut on top. remove the top nut that holds the cable.(you may have to get a thin 14mm-9/16 to hold the bottom...
