Jaytee, I had a customer who had starter problems with a 6.2 a few years ago. The Ear on the Block where the bolts go in actually broke. I had Welded the alluminum Head of the starter to the alluminum Shield for the tourque converter. New starter did well for about 4 years. Long story short, I...
I berlieve there is a Rod from thr steering collum to the Switch , which is actually on the bottom of the Steering Collum. Is the Tumbler bad so it does not turn, or is it the switch not making Contact?
Well guys we keep bringing this up and nothing happens. Maybe we should actually come up with a date for maybe May, of 2009. I have the lot and plenty of Back roads for Trail rideing. Some time before Memorial Day could be good. Phil
I had problems with the lines at the Switch for changinf from left tank to right tank. Several of the hoses were cracked. I just hooked lines to the left tank.

I got a M1008 that i can get a shaft off if you are interrested, or I can build one for you from parts from your old shaft. I think I have a shaft off a 1984 25004x4 kicking around. Phil
One mistake made with these trans if you are not familiar, is they do not get the Splines in to the second set. Are you sure you got your Toueque converter all the way in to the second splines? I can't think of anything else could be of problem. Be sure Transfer case is completely into gear...
Now thats the way to do it. I don't think I can get away with doing that here in New England. Where did this move take place? The MVs all look good! Good luck, Phil
I am glad for you it was an easy fix. I had a light issue with my M1008, and I solved it today. It seems the N.J. NG installed a new exhaust on the vehicle. I noticed the L tail pipe hung LO. Well I jacked the truck up, {With Excavator}, and I noticed the pipe was too close to the frame and the...
Yes I know how to use the Black out switch. This is my 4th M1008-M1009. I did find part of the problem. The fuse was Blown. I replaced it, but it Blew again and I wasn't aware of it until I started checking All the fuses. It will Blow when I use the RT. turn signal. So now I must trace that...
The Deuce will run with No batts. The lights and Gauges won't work. Good to have members offer their help. I do remember it was a Tight area and may be difficult to Pull start, but there is always a way. I don't know if you can start with a Slave cable because the cable is hooked to the Batt...
I had problems with mine. I found a Vacuum line broke completely off the vac. pump. I re-hooked it up and it now shifts great. Check your vac line salll the way to the Tranny. You might want to take the cover off the govenor and be sure nothing is STUCK. I would check Vac lines first.
Everyone seams to have electrical problems with Glo plugs, or starter :( . All is fine with mine and it runs good. I had Trans Shifting problems, but located a Totally Broken Vacuum line at the Vac. Pump. Now shifts great and goes well. I even changed the windshield and rear glass today...
Thats a good idea armyman!! I was actually thinking of putting one of my M105 Beds on the back of my M1008. I will measure today to see how things line up. That would make a good Firewood Haulre!! I got hydrolics to make it Dump also!
98HD, U notice I picked it up with a Chain, but the Bucket is actually Supporting under the truck. The chain is not supporting it anymore. It is in a Triangle, STRONG!!?? I am 6'5 so I like Room to work in!!
You got it right on, M52A2!! The rear window was Blown out, and when I let it back down, all the glass was on the Front of Floor boards. Easier cleaning. Scooter01922, I have to put new Mains and Rods in the Backhoe. Some one was running it in the woods when a branch knocked the Oill filter off...
