    remote mount turbo

You'll need to up the fuel flow into the engine (I don't think the stock injection pump is good for a whole lot of fuel delivery) to maintain the proper air/fuel ratio, that's it. Blowoff valve would not be necessary, as there is no throttle plate that's going to slam shut. Boost would be...

    4WD not engaging- Grinding gears

Huh? 2-4H should require nothing more than a pull of the lever, you should be able to shift in and out on the fly, hubs locked or unlocked. Shifting into N or 4L on the transfer case requires the "jog to the right," not the shift from 2 to 4H. The shift to 4L should be done with the truck...

    remote mount turbo

Remote mount turbo would theoretically be easier than a traditional mount, because you wouldn't have to screw around with manifolds and whatnot, just flange the exhaust pipe wherever you want, bolt in the turbo, run another pipe up to the intake, done. Disadvantages, of course, would be lag...

    Front springs worn out?

Yeah, it's like a $25 part or something, not really worth screwing around with it if it's at all suspect.

Looking for d ring clevis for my M1009

Yeah, people like that piss me off, and there have been more and more reports of stuff like that lately. I've stopped buying stuff online unless I can do the deal in person or it's with an actual, reputable business or individual. Oh well. Personally, I would have walked away from the deal...

Looking for d ring clevis for my M1009

What a jackass, taking a shackle off like that. That's the kind of douchebaggery I really can't stand, there's no excuse for it. Just like the asshat on here that ripped me off for $210 and never sent the injection pump I purchased. Anyway, you have three shackles, right? So you could either...

Looking for d ring clevis for my M1009

They're the same, all of them, for the Blazers and pickups, front and rear. Most Ace hardware stores have some that could be modified to look nearly the same as the originals (they use a pin, not a screw-in) with a can of paint and a grinder.

Looking for d ring clevis for my M1009

You mean the shackle? Good luck trying to find one at a reasonable price. For some reason, people seem to think they're made of solid gold or something and want an arm and a leg for them (I've seen prices upward of $50 each). Any 4x4 shop can get you a similar replacement which will cost...

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

You know, I thought about doing that. Then I realized I was out of cutoff wheels for my grinders. Just like I only had one dull metal blade left for the Sawzall. Thanks for the tip.

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

Found a shop, recommended from a friend, who would mount them, no problem, for $25 each. Little hole in the wall shop that sells used tires (connected to a junkyard) and does mounting/balancing/patching, and that's about it. They balanced out pretty well, they're not lumpy or bumpy, they're not...

    M1008 Glow plug relay stuck.

Was the cycling happening rapidly or not? If it was going back and fourth in intervals of, say, 2 seconds, it sounds like a problem. If it was happening with it staying "ON" for, say, 10 seconds each cycle, then it sounds normal. Without the time of the cycling, there's no way to tell whether...

    Front springs worn out?

Mechanic:[Inspects car, finds that tires are low]- Your, uh (thinking of easy yet somewhat pricey part to replace), front leaf springs are worn out. Yeah, that's it.... You: Ok, fix it. When can I pick it up? Mechanic: Uh, give me two hours. You: OK. Mechanic: Goes back in shop, shines up leaf...

    Front springs worn out?

Engine mounts- possible, though somewhat unlikely. As I said, the typical explanation is a difference in tire pressures, which in a normal car with an open rear would be a non-issue, but with a locker, it causes pulling. I've not come across engine mount issues that caused pulling like he...

    Front springs worn out?

What? Cause shaking? Maybe, particularly at idle. So would a busted balancer, misfire, or a host of other things. Which is why I suspect the mechanic is an idiot. Worn out leaf springs don't even make my list of things to suspect for these symptoms, particularly the fronts.

    Front springs worn out?

I'd bet your mechanic is an idiot. Find a new one. Shaking can be anything from an out of balance wheel to a bent drive shaft, or even a worn out steering stabilizer (which I find to be pretty common items to be skipped over in any truck). As for pulling when giving it power, in trucks with...

FYI- set of 4 16.5" wheels in junkyard, Elkton, MD

There's a set of four 16.5" wheels, on an older model 1-ton Chevy van, sitting in B&H auto salvage in Elkton, MD. It's a you-pull yard, so don't bother calling them about them, just go if you're interested. They're the standard steel wheels, which I know at least a few people here are looking...

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

Right, which is why it's a bad idea to run out of date tires. Which is one of the reasons I selected the nearly new set that I did.

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

An hour to do four tires? Really? It's never taken anywhere close to that for any of the sets I've had mounted. Maybe an hour from the time I walk in, tell them what I want, sit in the waiting room for them to bring the vehicle in, have them do the work, get me in the waiting room, have me pay...

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

While I appreciate where you're coming from, understand that these tires aren't rock hard or out of date- they look and feel BRAND NEW. Unlike most of the morons out there, I actually know what's involved with different jobs, like mounting a tire, and I know what things would be the shop's fault...

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

Every shop I stopped at had both empty bays and idle techs, so it's not like they'd be bumping other business for me. I've already got the tires, so it's not like they're really missing too much of an opportunity for a sale. Every one of them had decent mounting machines, it's not like they'd be...
