they are the same, there are mainly 2 kinds of alternators for m35a2 and m818 trucks. the first has a regulator that is removable by way of 6 screws on the end of the alternator, this one is the one you really want. if you have the other, you are still ok, but you can not rebuild it your self...
After WWI, WW II, and the Korean Conflict, the federal government ordered the deportation of all illegal immigrants back to their respective countries to create job opportunities for the service man and woman coming home after serving their country. With the unemployment rate in so many states...
The hole is to allow any oil to drain from the bell housing. If allowed to build up, it would coat the clutch disk and make it slip. if you look at your bell housing you will see another plug screwed in to it on the right. This plug is in it's stored location. Remove and screw the plug into...
you are right. by doing a search, you will see this VERY thing completed my many members. Go to 100dollarman.com. he has the plates, and is reasonable considering that his are CNC machined and true.
does any one know if the 395/85/R20 will fit on the A3 rims. I am running 14.50x20s right now, but will have to at some point change tires as the 14.50x20 will become extinct.
while looking at your photo's, I see that there is a counter weight on the rim of the front tires. I recommend you remove all the counter weights if you are not going to use the CTIS system to include the protective shield.
it would be best to bolt brackets to the frame on the truck and weld brackets to the frame on the bed. Also keep in mind that the transfer case sets up above the frame of the truck and you may need to replace the existing wood spacers with 2x4 pressure treated to give you the clearance you need...
I got a bunch of this stuff sitting in a trunk if any one needs any of it let me know and we can work out the particulars to get it out of my way and into yours.
now let's do the math. 3 pods @600lbs ea (empty)=1800lbs.
1500 gallons of water @7.5lbs per gallon= 13500 lbs.
pump unit (guess) 225 lbs
total load on truck 13275 lbs
13275 divided by 2000 lbs (1 ton) =6.6275 tons on a 5 ton truck.
i had one of these trucks as a supply NCO, and i LOVED it, but...
you are only gona need it for the 12 holes on the side. i used a heavy duty drill and a floor jack to do the bottom holes. i ran the floor jack and my brother in law ran the drill. for the sides, i used a couple of new sharp bits and a big guy (brother in law) to push the drill. i also use a...
the bob deuce is a copy of the XM381. the wheel base of the XM381 was 135. this requires the drive shaft to be lengthened 5 inches and puts the wheel centered under the fender.
have fun with the fitting on the bottom of the I.P. I took a diesel bath when I took mine out. make sure you have the right plug for it as well or you will be putting the old fitting back in till you get the right stuff. After I got it removed, I used a piece of the tube to fix the return line...
Yes and no. let me splain it to ya. The winches are the same, but the A2 is PTO driven, and the A3 is driven by a hydraulic motor attached to the winch and driven by a hydraulic pump attached to the back of the injector pump on the CAT 3116 engine. I know pics would be good, but I broke my...
