I'm looking to put a set of zero rate add a leaf's to the front of my 1008 in order to move the axle a little to the front. Has anyone used a set of these? I also wondered if there would be any problem's with the adjusment sleeve on the drag link's? Seems like you'd need to trim off some of the...
Check to make sure the frame is not broken where the steering box mounts. It's not uncommon for it to be broken there. If it is, give Off Road Design a call. They have a weld in kit that will fix it.:-D
I finially got around to fixing my dash light problem and as suspected it was only connection problems. I wonder why ,after all these years, someone hasn't came up with a dash light LED conversion for the 80's model of chevy trucks. Or maybe someone has and I don't know about it. Cooler...
I went with 6" front springs and a shackle flip in the rear with 13.5x37 tires and works great. The taller tires will take a little gear out of it and let's it do the highway speeds a lot better.
The new block I bought is drilled for the switch and the sensor won't fit. That's what has me puzzled here. If the switch won't fit, it must be the newer block, but fuel will definately leak because it's drilled out and fuel will pour out the smaller brass elbow.:confused::confused:
That's what I thought. But the "new" block I bought has the machined hole in it and the pressure switch just won't fit. That's what's got me bumfuzzled. It's like we're dealing with 3 different types of blocks OR 2 different types of pressure sensors. Does that make sense ??
Bought a new fuel filter block from a guy on ebaymotors for my 1008 and when it got here it didn't have the fuel pressure sensor. I happen to have a few new ones so no big deal. Or so I thought. The new filter block I bought has a smaller diameter place to mount the sensor and therefor my...
Was digging around under the seat of my latest 1008 and found this speaker. It's super heavy for it's size and the magnet is encased in aluminum. Anyone know what it was used for ? Prbly some type of radio I guess.
:ditto:I've got a paint marking on mine too and have gotten into the habit of checking the balancer every time I change the oil or pickup the grease gun.
I don't remember the size, but what I done was take one off and carry the line with me and we matched it up at the store. Also, I put 45 degree fittings on the trans end of the hoses.
On the Blazer in my avitar I used small Hydraulic lines. My local CarQuest crimped the ends on for me. Works real good and much easier to install than hard lines.
