    Drivers door glass

Dam the luck. Yesterday I let a friend borrow one of my 1008's to haul wood to our camp site and he brought it back with the glass shattered out of the drivers window. The vent window is fine. I've got a good spare door with the glass intact but the paint is different. How hard is it to...

    1985 CUCV M1009 Normal Shifting?

I agree with M813rc, check the vacuum lines. It'll make the Th400 shift late just like you described. The th400 will up shift even when pulled down to 1st on the column once the line pressure gets high enough. That's what your's is doing, shifting off of line pressure instead of vacuum signal.

Anyone ever put bucket seats in a M1008

I've got an 85 chevy haf ton 4x4 that has a 95 model silverado bench in it. It was easy to do. I just cut the bottom mounts off of both and welded the older mounts onto the newer seat. Works perfect. Shouldn't be any harder for a set of buckets.

    Front hub locknuts....

Dudes, the axle is not bolted to the spindle, it passes through the spindle. Stop worrying about the axle turning, it has nothing to do with it.

M 1031 Farm Contact Service Truck

That is a really nice setup !!! I've had my feelers out for several years for one of those here locally, but i guess the guy will just let it rot instead of selling it. Any idea what that truck weigh's ? I drove my 1008 with 37's over the hyway scales yesterday and it was 6,380 lbs.

    Moderators/Search Function?

If ALL questions and ALL problems eventually become solved in the Resources section, then why would anyone need to communicate on the forum ? I see the need to have problems solved without posting, but repost's don't seem to bother me. Sometimes it's just about the conversation. I thought that...

    My 1008 on 37's

They're 16". The back spacing is about right too. The scrub radius is still at or about factory. Also, if anyone decides to buy a set, the taper on the wheels where the lug nuts seat is hard to match. I found the right taper on a set of lugs at my local Carquest. It took a lot of searching...

    My 1008 on 37's

Thanks. The wheels are pretty heavy with the insert's and all but it's worth it. You can run as low of pressure as you want. Makes the truck ride good offroad too.

    My 1008 on 37's

6". The taller tires take a little gear out of it. Works good on the hyway. Can't really tell any difference offroad.
