I've read through the post's reguarding soda blasting but no answer to my question. I've got a 20 gallon blaster that's been converted to use soda but how much soda should it take to do one of my 1008's. I don't want to make but one trip to the supply store and really have no idea how much soda...

The springs on the 1009 are 52" and the ones on the 1008 are 56". Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

The rear driveshaft yoke on the blazer and the yoke on the 14bolt are different sizes. The caps are bigger on the 14 bolt.

Mine has had the same problem before but all i did was make sure the batteries were hot. The cranking RPM's must be high or mine won't start either.

That's a bad deal. I've always been afraid that would happen to mine. Hopefully there's a solution. You said the starter was shifted out of position, was the brace attached to the front of the starter ?

At my business, I have a fuel tank with off-road diesel (red dye) in it for my loaders. Would i be better off to use that fuel instead. The fuel company says it's "not" ultra-low sulfer.

Take the few bolts loose from torque converter and flywheel then crank it up and i bet the noise will stop. I'd guess the trans pump from there.

I just bought some from LMC last week for the blazer in my avitar. They fit perfect.:-D

This ultra low sulfer fuel that we burn now, is it bad for the IP of the CUCV ? If I'm right the sulfer is for lubrication.

Find a civy 6.2 in the junk yard and rob the intake muffler. It will kill the droning noise. I put one on my 86 model and it works good. The military did not use the muffler.:-D
