thanks Sarge. i have put a lot of work into it. The bed came about by accident really. My truck is a 1031 so it came with a utlity bed (contact maint.) I didn't really like that and had some M101a2's so I got to work. The bed was very easy to install on the truck. Lined up with the frame and...
Here are some pics of mine. The soft top is down right now as I had some trees in the back. i also finished the arctic camo job and got some tint for the windows. very close to being done.
i also did a slight fender trim to get 37's to fit and not rub. I added a m101a2 bed to my m1031 and LOVE IT! Added an arctic camo paint job and called it done. I do have an offroad design "easy inch" for the front springs that I ordered for something else, that will be added when it dries out...
Gimp, I would say leave the deuce alone. If it handles better then you will want to drive even faster. that is a viscious cycle. you already drive like a madman. Next you'll need a flux capacitor to go back in time.
two years ago when we had our little blizzard my bobber got plenty of use as well. We havn't had any signifigant weather here lately. I got to pull out a state trooper that had pulled me over in the bobber a couple days before. Made a friend that day. Me and one tow truck were the only ones...
should be easy enough to get it to work. hopefully the PTO input on the winch will be on the drivers side when installed. Then you can use a stock PTO adapter and maybe even adapt the stock driveshaft as well. It if is driven on the passenger side when installed it will be a bit harder and...
tennessee makes you display it even if it is an antique tag. We also do the permenent tags for antiques. Never been stopped for tag, but I get pulled over all the time in my deuce for speeding.......LOL (kidding please don't pm me)
:nothingfunny: except that someone needs to buy big girl panties next time. Also a properly formed question usually gets a properly formed answer here........or ridicule. whichever is easier:-P
what fun is it having a truck that you let someone else tell you how to drive? would Ricky Bobby have gotten to the status of greatest driver of all time that way? No he wouldn't. And Remember, if your not first your last. WOOOOO!
don't know what all the hubbub is about bub. Followed a singles out deuce with 395's and a poor LDS running 63 this weekend. Owned by a member here. Never missed a lick. In the end it is your truck and here is my view---- Run it on the redline until something lets go, then replace it with an...
yes it has been done. By me for one. Search for 1031 with 101 bed. There was a pic of it on there as well. Also a pic in the thread "what have you done to your cucv". Works like a charm and is perfect dimentionally. Looks great too.
increase horsepower? Yes. Cheap? No. the most cost effective way to get more ponies is to either add a turbo from a 6.5 engine or swap the engine for a gas motor or larger diesel engine.
only problem with the bugs, my wife would never get in the truck. She is deathly scared of spiders, scorpions and snakes. I like them though. There used to be a kit available that you could melt this stuff and make knobs, ashtrays and paperweights with all kinds of stuff in it. I think it was...
actually AAA will at least come and assist you. I called them to come tow my semi- tractor in michigan when it got stuck in my mother in laws back yard. came right out and yanked me free. smiled and left.
I think this is topic is not even worth discussing after the initial answer of NO. The wheel is clearly not designed or reinforced for that much tire. Sometimes you have to give the best advice you can and let folks do what they are gonna do. If and when such a BS contraption fails (and...
pretty nifty i gotta say. Did you make a clear copy of the pattern to use in the projector or did you trace it onto some clear sheet to transfer? very creative and looks like it worked well. everywhere the projector won't get would be connect the dots. I like connect the dots. Don't color...
o'rielly auto parts sells swivel cupholders for boats. They even have one that fits a can with a coozy on it. Mounts to anything you can drill a hole into. stainless steel too, snazzy. i will get a pic of one if I can.
you know I see this getting way out of hand in my shop. what is the correspondence to the diameter of the horn to the sound? Or Db level? Heres what i envision. Smallest out of the four made from say 6" PVC then one 8" and so on. so that when air was applied it would sound like a cruise...
