I could use a pic of the transmission one. I bought the threaded water jacket cover for the passenger side for water temp myself, and used the oil tap next to the overflow tank on the drivers side for oil pressure, but I was going to tap a new deep pan for my transmission sender since I wasn't...
Just swapping the front tray for the civvy one if you have a standard size battery like that would clear the room for a civvy cold air intake wouldn't it?
Anyway, yeah you have to lock the front hubs for any sort of 4WD behavior. The visors should actually have the 4x4 info stickers on them if you're lucky and don't have your -10 manual handy. Driving in 4 with the hubs unlocked could be damaging to the drivetrain. 'Death wobble' is a commonly...
Do you have a Mity Vac? I think that would be more likely to work than a turkey baster :)
This is why my next mechanical upgrade will probably be an electric fuel pump.
Would a continuity test between the negative terminal and the alternator housing be sufficient for checking the rebuild before install? Would be a good tip to spread around if so.
You might try putting some cayenne pepper on the wiring. Maybe mix it with a raw egg and spread it on the wire? Messy I'm sure, but probably less harmful to teach the dog that way than waiting for him to chew through a welder's 220V plug or something.
My tailgate cables didn't come with the springs that make sure the cable stays tucked when you shut it, anyone know where to get new ones of that? One of mine is broke and the other is probably going to break soon. LMC wants $35 a pop...

When I first got my CUCV, I thought there were no dash lights, and then a friend said, hey, try turning that headlight knob. Boy I felt like a horse's patoot.
And thanks richingalveston.
I had a windshield with the hidden antenna when I got my 09, might want to check to see if you have one before drilling holes in your truck. Then you just need to find the cable with the button end that attaches to the windshield, which I'm still trying to find myself. Not sure what it's...
Finally installed my winch. Got it from Walmart or Sams a couple years ago, a CPE (Champion Power Equipment) Power Sports 10k 12v electric model. Didn't even notice it came with a winch mounting channel already in the box until I started trying to figure out how to install it a couple weeks...
Who has actually done a front hitch install on a 1009 for mounting a winch carrier, etc? Did you have to fabricate one or have you found one that fits off the shelf? So far the only one I've found is this Warn receiver:
