contd. SRS on M38A!
I'm not clear on the "I" post on the SRS. I read it goes to the + side of the coil but woulodn't that interfere with the operation og the "S"
post on the SRS since it energizes the "I" to allow continuity between the two largr side posts on the SRS to activate the starter...

I'll continue, post and continue till I write the post I orginally wrote.
I have the pos. batt. cable to left side SRS large threaded bolt along with a wire from it to the BATT on the ignition switch.
The "S" post on the SRS goes to the "S" post on the IGN...
I just wrote a long explanation to the problem I'm having w/ wiring in a new SRS (starter relay solenoid).
It included where my wires are connected and etc. I posted it and was asked to log in again...consequently the entire message vanished when I did this.
I need help in wiring a 4 post SRS...
MY 53 M38A! front tires are leaning (when sitting) from 12 o clock to about 5 o clock. Had someone try to fix it

but couldn't determine why. Any ideas?
On a 4cyl. Hurricane engine, I need to check location and routing of the plug wires on the distributor and engine.
Been looking for 30mins. and can't find a diagram or if CW or CCW movement on a '53-M38A1..Thanks
I agree... in that picture, before locating the new unit, I bought the brass float, sock and a role of rubber gasket material, so now they will go in a box or plastic
bag stowed away and I'll probably never remember where I put them.
I appreciate you and everyone else's input...I was going to add the site to the M880 TM PDF section but was hoping someone
that was more computer savvy would do it for us.
Yes, it was very challenging but it should benefit all of us M880 owners. I didn't explore all of their inventory but...
Thanks doghead & NDT...for your posts. I have tried to find one for a W200 & W300...same result.
While waiting for reply's, I've been trying to solder the swing lever on mine and it worked several times (ohm swings from full to empty)
so ready to install and decided to check once more...
Hi Flash, would you know where I can find a fuel tank sending unit assembly...I tried to refurbish my old one and now I'm dead in the water with it.
Thanks...This is for a '76' M880 318...from bottom of assembly plate to pickup tube is 9"
There was a kit put in it about 7 to 8 months ago, but I agree it has to be a diaphragm or a clogged jet. The fuel tank does have some particles in it which show up in the first fuel filter sometimes. The jeep will die when that filter is plugged up and I have to remove the line and use...
After cranking and idling, (which is no problem) if I press the gas pedal a little more the engine starts to die. If I hold it there it will die.
If I push more it catches and runs fine. The rpms just past idle, 700 - 800, is where it pulls down.
So if I remove my foot from the...
Thanks Mike for your reply...I didn't remove the pinion gear from the housing or its shims. So the bearings must be bad. Also, I didn't drop the carrier.
Late news, I did take it to someone who works on MV and he said every thing I did was right. What he found wrong was the pinion gear...
