Starting Friday evening, off and on through this evening, I sanded, straighten, and painted the bumpers and brush guard with Rustoleum rattlecan bedliner, replaced the carriage bolts holding on the brush guard, removed the euro fog lights and replaced them with driving lights.
It dried hard with a slight sand-paper texture.
Lessons learned in the process: 1. Spray the old carriage bolts with PB Blaster the night before and let them soak; 2. If you have one, and can get it into the tight spaces, use an air wrench; 3. use regular bolts instead of carriage bolts on...
Ok, my simple "paint the back bumper with Rustoleum rattlecan bedliner and see how I like it" plan turned into a "let's go ahead and remove the 26 yo rusted carriage bolts from the brush guard by hand (meaning no air wrench) and sand and paint both bumpers, the brush guard, the grill, and...
Ok, latest update: we had a nice cool front come through on Friday (high in the low 70s), and it was in the mid-60s by the time I was going to crank my M1009 and move it from the street to the garage so that I could run the TM glowplug troubleshooting section one last time. I was expecting...

Has anyone ever seen, or used, spray can bedliner on a CUCV bumper/grill guard? I saw it uses on the after-market bumpers of a later model Blazer on a 4x4 TV show, and it looked interesting.
Talked w/ my mechanic today. No busted teeth on the bindex (sp?); no busted teeth on the flywheel; bracket on the way from a nearby Chevy parts dealer.
