Make sure to use a torque wrench to install the unit to the extension housing as per the instructions. The studs are a fine thread into cast aluminum and easily stripped out. Also..(unless they updated the instructions) they will call for a discontinued GM gear oil. The new oil you'll need is...
HA! actually I think we were posting at the same time, so I didn't even have a chance to read your post when I wrote that LOL! That being said I would bet that the LED bulbs inside the "American made" lenses are still China imports. I have a strange little side hobby of collecting & restoring...
Just my 2cents. (#1) Nearly all LED lights are maid in China. (#2) I was fine with the brightness of the stock glass incandescent bulbs. (#3) the ones I bought were only $30.00 more then stock ones. (#4) these are DOT legal as advertised & printed on the front of them. (#5) The glass bulbs for...
No I didn't see that. I only just recently started using MM in place of 2cycle oil. I've bin nursing a leaky injection pump throttle shaft. The 2cycle oil would slow the leak, MM stopped it:shrugs: Perhaps I will use a mix of the two?
Well you clearly have an air leak in the fuel system, and a spin on fuel filter is a wise choice. But I'd confirm where the leak is first before you start randomly buying parts. the best way, is to work backwards form the injection pump. Start by (temporarily) replacing the rubber return line...
Yeah I'm aware of the law. But my common sense realized I couldn't hear anything over the cab noise in my non carpeted or insulated M1028 at 70-80MPH anyway. So might as well save my hearing :shrugs:. Besides not wearing headphones would make me the only one in ATL LOL!
Well funny / not so funny story about that. These are 85W, 3000LM low beam, 5500LM high beam $87.99 shipped. And just after I ordered them I found another set 105W, 4500LM low beam, 6500LM high beam $52.19. which is a little less then a pair of stock glass bulbs from Advanced!
I looked it up I guess there's a gizmo called a ferrite coil you clip over the leads to the LED's that is supposed to stop it. I don't have a radio in my truck so I couldn't tell you if these would be a problem or not? I do listen to Pandora on my cell phone with earplug head phones with no problem.
I guess the low beams seem to spread about 4 lanes wide, and out about 75 yards out. The high beams are more like a spot light, I'd guess another 25-30 yards out. Anything with reflective tape on it looks like neon lights, street signs, city, and police vehicles.
Well I guess they don't make them like they used to? I kept burning out or cracking the old style glass headlight bulbs. So I reluctantly ordered this set of LED headlights on Ebay. And I'll have to admit they are an amazing improvement!
Yeah the pushrods need to go back at least in the proper orientation as far as top & bottom. One end of them is heat treated. Here's a really good video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20FBN3tdJUg
I don't know what brand of roller rockers you used but I saw this video a couple years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eYJdVuPkckhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1HpFu4xP9M
