    If you do have power to the switch bypass it and see do you have lights. If you bypass it and do have lights then it is the switch.

    Check your blackout light switch by bypassing it and see if your lights work. Better yet, check to see if you get 12v to the switch if you do your problem is after the switch and if don't then it is before it.

    Also check your grounds. If i'm not mistaken one wire of the headlights go to ground.

    Help ! Getting 24 volts in my 12 volt system !

    The junction boxes on the passenger side firewall and next to the rear seat are 24v. There are also a 24v source at the fuse box and for the starter relay. Check and make sure all are isolated from the 12v system.

    M1008 have a 20 gallon tank. I just guestamate it and pour it into the tank before fillup. About 1/5th of the bottle.

    Check the tow rating on the civi towbar. Most I've seen are rated at 5000# so you will probably be above that limit by a little.

    If it is at a GL sale you might check and see if the site allows you to add fluid in to test it.

    My black out lights are disconnected by unplugging the switch and jumping the four connectors for the regular lights. I will try and get some pics today.

    There were some M1028's with A/C setup for shelters with a/c hookup. The vin does not show it as a chassis cab.
