Mechanic recommendation - M1009: Injector Pump (North Texas area)

Anyone have a recommendation for someone who can replace the IP on my truck? If a forum member is able to do it, even better. Thanks!

No, I have not verified that, yet. Sounds like I need to add that to my list of things to check out.

Sweet. That could seal the deal, right there. Although I would love to switch out and put in a 4BT, I would rather just stick with this one until it's completely dead.

Replacing the IP will actually help with the speed of the truck again? If I understand that correctly, that would be great news!

Before I sell my M1009 (Injector pump)

More and more my IP is giving me troubles. I have to keep bottles of water in the truck and pour over the IP each time, if I turn the engine off, when warm, for more than 30 mins. Although I love the truck, I can't keep worrying about this truck leaving me stranded and I also don't want to...

    M1009 mechanic recommendation? North TX

Good question. It is drivable, but I just plan my stopping way ahead of time, regarding the brakes. What are you thinking? :)

I saw this flatbed truck with the truck and piece of equipment I could not identify. Any ideas on what it is?

    M1009 mechanic recommendation? North TX

I finally have my CUCV running fairly well, except for the IP that will need to be replaced one day. (It won't start after running, from time to time..) That being said, I have run out of time to do some major/minor work on it, so I need to find someone in the N Texas area who is familiar with...

    '84 M1009 - Won't crank - 12v Roscommon converted

Yes, Sir...they did. That second alt is gone, on the drivers side, and in it's place is a nice looking AC compressor. Now I just need to see if I can get her running. :)

    '84 M1009 - Won't crank - 12v Roscommon converted

It seems as though I have the plumbing for the AC. Lines seem to be there. Wiring, I'll need to work on. Looks as though field mice lived in vents at some point. Any way to clean those good?

    '84 M1009 - Won't crank - 12v Roscommon converted

I was literally just thinking about that. What information should I start gathering about the setup in order to start troubleshooting it?? Electrical connections freon hoses what else? That is another area I have absolutely no experience in.

She's alive. Melted wire, touching the exhaust, seems to have been the issue. Thanks to all for the help and support.
