From a junker I just picked up. Sorry for the bad quality but it's pouring rain out right now.The bracket that attaches to the cap hold down bolt on this one is mangled a little.
I have had a few 12v 6.2s do that . Something was wrong with the starters in them.Never had it with a 24v though. Also sometimes the ground cable can be bad. I actually found a bad cable using a battery load tester. Try load testing the batts using the cables (not hooking directly to the batt)...
Was a tough choice. I miss my Deuce as I felt it commanded a certain respect with that big ole Stack sticking out of the hood but I will say going from the Deuce to the M923 is like going from VW Rabbit to a Mercedes. It is alot easier to drive and I'm not getting any younger. Pretty clean...
My issue wasn't the camping fee. I got electric out of it(well for one night anyway). 20$ is cheap for water and electric for the RV's. My issue was not being able to sleep and wondering if something was gonna get thrown through my 2000$ windshields by a bunch of jerks who think they could do...
yes that was me and I paid 20$ for camping and then the gentleman I paid saw me walking around later and said he forgot to charge me admission and asked for an additional 10$ saying I needed to pay that as well so I Paid a total of 30$ which wasn't an issue but when I went on the MTA site to...
I have to say I will probably never go again.. I had to listen guys riding UTVs at 11 oclock at night in the camping area. I had to pack up and move my RV at 11pm . When I said something to the staff the next day I was treated rudely and told I should not have been there Friday night...
Is it registered ? Might be able to help you out in CT but I can't have anymore unregistered trucks on my property...lol
My close friend is in the Coast Guard right now. Hawaii. I am 2.5 hrs from NYC. Ex NY'er myself.
CT uses straight salt magnesium chloride solution with no rust inhibitor from what I am told. It's destroying everything. The bridges are all falling apart, people with 5 yr old trucks have rotted frames, brake lines etc. The Truck assoc(forget which one, was on the local news) has threaten to...
I have found the best way it to knock out the studs and pull the hub. Even if the brake drums are junk, you'll be beating on them big boys long and hard before the crack.
Really getting sick of watching my truck get destroyed year after year because the morons in The People's Republik of Komneticut think putting straight salt down is best. These brakes were only about 3 yrs old and probably 5000 miles.
I could not get the drum off. The adjuster was rusted so bad...
I beg to differ...
I tried playing in the snow too. Luckily it was in my back yard. It took me an hour to dig it out with a skid steer and two shovels...
I now know first hand how truly worthless NDT's are.
The only issue I see is over time even with the keyway plugged it would seem gear oil could still make it past the nut threads or where the nut contacts the metal part of the seal. I did a skin of snot on that too although from what I am told, these things were never meant for longevity, more...
