    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

Ifta and ICC is for interstate. If you don't have apportioned plates you can just do a Ct fuel tax sticker.

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

He did not tell me exactly what he did but I suspect he asked too many questions. Just get a temp, go to an emissions for a vin check and register it antique. End of story. That of course limits it as far as uses but I doubt most people are using for it anything more than a toy. If you plan on...

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

I just talked to my buddy. He is not sure of any law that would make the black out light switch illegal , only that you must have working brake lights. Conn gen stat 14-96

What are the preferred CUCV replacement seat covers?

Just go to a junkyard and get civvy seats. They are way more comfortable.

This is worth a read. It goes into detail about uses and on road use by civilians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M35_2%C2%BD_ton_cargo_truck

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

I think the OP's problem was he went to the wrong DMV, asked too many questions and got bad answers. Again, I advised him what to do.

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

Not entirely true. My 1973 Ford has single circuit. I believe the F600's were like that until 1980. I know mine is.

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

A better example would be oil trucks. None that I have ever seen and I was in the business for 25 years.

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

The issue isn't what regular patrol cops will do. Most will not bother MV's except maybe to check it out. The OP's problem was with DMV cops. They are different than Local and state police. Their job is to bust balls and harass truckers and generate income . They would pull over anything and do...

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

There is no law about having a switch that I am aware. If you "have them switched off" then you are guilty of having no lights. He would give them a ticket for no lights if it had no lights. You have aroused my curiosity though. I will ask some LEO's I am friends with .

    M35a2 motor swap

Oh on a side note. I got the gasket for the flywheelhousing to engine block but it also requires removing the rear main seal cover as it goes under it. My rear main seal looks nice and new and someone used sillicone so I tink I will take the new gasket and cut it so it fits over the seal case...

    M35a2 motor swap

BTW the LDT does have piston squirters and the one for cyl 5 was destroyed on mine so yet more reason to abandon the motor. Bearing had some mild scratches. Not sure if from the shratnel or age. The old block along with a blow up 6.5 should bring some cash from the scrap yard.

    M35a2 motor swap

Finished stripping the old motor down. Cleaned all the shratnel out of the oil pan and cleaned the pickup tubes good. A friend of mine is coming over tomorrow to help me get the new one in. His price was a piston from the wrecked motor. I may keep one as well. Will make a nice lamp.

I have been in PM with the OP and have given him the advice he needs. If he follows it , he should be fine without any modifications.

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

That is for Passenger vehicles. Trucks do not need airbags etc. Most if not all manufacturers have them now but in the early 2000's GM still did not put airbags in the 1 tons on the passenger side.

    M35a2 motor swap

BW on a side note I read a few threads here about attempting to put a clutch fan on a Deuce. I was looking at it while it is on the stand. You know the answer may be right under our noses. A 6.2 clutch from a CUCV almost bolts up perfectly. The holes need to be filed out less then a few...

    M35a2 motor swap

Oh it will take a lot more than a Deuce ride. The first ride will be happiness for my 8 yr old though.
