Banks Sidewinder or Cummins 6bt swap???

yep, my 93 broke a crank form a bad balancer. check the rubber around it. The dorman ones are junk. I would not run anything but a Fliudampr now after buying one for my 98 6.5TD.

    broken starter bolt

You have not used ether on it have you ? That can break them as well. The DD bracket can easily be fabbed. It's just a piece of angle iron bent. Snap On reverse drill easy outs work really good on broken bolts but beware, Sometimes the ear snaps off the block and then you are f'ed.

Excellent....Hmmmm no Inj clearance issues huh ?? Do you know if your heads are original ? The later model 6.2 heads had the same angle as a 6.5. Guess I'm gonna find out real soon....:) I thought so with the exhaust. A bodylift would solve that but I hate them and the pushbar/brille guard would...

    so many starters

Made in China garbage ...that's why. It is indeed Dark times for the Truck/Auto enthusiasts. I never thought I'd see the day when quality parts for a Square body Chevy would become hard to find. Best to go to a local re builder. I still have the original one in my 1008 AFAIK.
