A real quick way to see if the pictures aren't very good or if you are just doing a "walk by" would be to look at the "Air Scoop" on the drivers fender to bring fresh air into the heater.
The first pic has no "scoop"...No Heater Installed.
Second pic has the "scoop"...Heater Installed.
They...
Great way to put the deuce to work!!!
Some people might think you should be working it a bit harder, but sometimes the old girls need a break too...LOL :-D
even at that, that's still a LOT of DC current available. 200 volts DC isn't going to do anybody much good, so it will need to be at a lower voltage.
3 KW 208 volts 3 phase is about 10.4 amps.
Step down the voltage before rectification to about 28 volts (MV uses) and you're talking about a...
OK Stretch,
You should have said you were coming down here to steal my firewood....I could have had a beer waiting on you or something. Which mill did you get the slabs from? I know of about 3 or 4 right here close to home.
sweet truck :-D
Your brake problem could be as simple as it just being adjusted too tight...once the pads heat and swell it could have been rubbing. Hopefully it's that simple and nothing serious.
JC, if I were closer I would happily go with you, I'm always up for looking at some OD Iron. Hopefully someone will step up and be available to help you out. It's good that you are going to look at them and ask questions before buying one. May I also suggest reading the deuce wiki article in...
Recovry4x4 and the others are correct about the heat in the cab and the heat you'll feel on the transmission, listen to them and you'll be fine.
As to the transmission fill level....I've been there and done that. I had a 750+ mile recovery trip from Wisconsin to Ohio earlier in the summer...
Woody, I'm happy to hear you made it back safely. I know it's no fun trying to drive around with a leaking tranny/clutch problems. You did a heck of a job getting back to TN from FL with a tranny going south on ya.
Apparently, even the thought of stopping at WM's brought Murphy from his...
Well, for those of us that won some of these tents, I was doing a little research today. Green_gator said in an earlier post that he spoke with the GL rep at Eglin and was told that the tents are brand new in the crates (most of them anyway). I was looking for the TM online and doing a little...
Jeff,
Thanks for posting that trip. I've driven by and wondered what exactly was on that hilltop...now I know. Too far to make a trip myself, unless I happen to be going out west again sometime. I might have to make an extra day to stop and check it out.
Oh, where to start....
first off, why???
When you rectify AC to DC the DC output voltage is not going to just be the RMS voltage, although it may be close (speaking 3 phase only here). The calculation is actually V(dc) = 2 x V(p)/ PI, where V(dc) is the DC output voltage, V(p) is the peak...
I'll still say thanks again. How's this....
Woody, you are the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! :not worthy:
Seriously, You guys do so much for the folks on here I don't know how we can say thanks.
Thanks Captain, You are the man!!!!!!!!!! :not worthy:
Did Woody tell you if they are in the crates or just the bags? Now I'm curious to see if they come with everything that they are supposed to be issued with. Like the map board and table and lights? If they don't that's fine with me, I...
Trudge, if you can get that set-up and apply the true line-x...I'll bet you could make a killing going to a rally (GA Rally maybe??????????)
Do I hear/see a discount for SS members?????
If you've got the stuff needed already, and the customers are lined lined up, why not contact Line-x corp and see about a franchise??
I have it in my pick-up and I'm with you. I love it. I would love to have it sprayed in the deuce, but I know it will cost almost as much as the deuce did.
Mark, welcome and congrats on the new "member of the family" so to speak.
I agree with all the posts above, bleeding the brakes will help with your problem most likely...however, since it's a new (to you) truck, and you have no idea of the maintenance that was done to it prior to you purchasing...
