This is not a huge step forward but it is progress in the right direction. At least the bumpers are in the same room as the M1009. This gives them time to get better aquatinted before being permanently attached to each other. I am braving the cold and doing some organizing. Finding lots of...
Today it is cold and dry. I am long due for clean up and organizing my things.
Further back in the center bay I moved several items and found a TH400 from a CUCV M1010 I parted out 25 + years ago. I relived when I seen it but never missed it. It was from an M1010 that had less then 5 k miles...
WOW yesterday was like Christmas all over again. I received my order from LMC and still have more parts on the way. I was happy with the parts I received and in my experience the after-market parts quality has improved over the past 10 years. I was happy to see that all the parts I ordered were...
I found the perfect song for a CUCV owner that is filled with troubles after purchasing a CUCV that has been hacked.

Empty days and lonely nights

Walking lonely in the cold
Trying to find the...

I think they wanted to lower the cost and still have a one ton truck that was capable of carrying out the intended duty. The CUCV was never intended to be a combat vehicle. It filled a time when other purpose built vehicles were being developed. HMMWV as an example. They didn’t even include the...
I would swap another lockout into the hub and see if you have the same slop. It could be it was loose for a while and wore into the aluminum hub assembly, but that big PITA snap ring should be in place and tight. I have lots of OEM hub parts if you get in a bind. Be Safe.
Against my will o was forced to use this fuel filter. Something failed in the original style during snow removal. I told them I have an alternate filter but would NOT install it. I think I made out better. I gave them this filter assembly and they gave me the stock OEM one.
