Why the f*** I'm messing with this addition when the last place that I ever want to travel would be some place "cold"....
But I have my hab gutted for a mockup module shift , rearranging some things, adding in my kitchen module and fridge (I'm tired of all the build bits taking...
Under the cab will be SOP. And the interior doors, roof, back and sides will be pretty simple.
But I'm too spoiled hosing sand out of the entire cab with the garden hose and bare floors are simple to hose out.
I suppose removable floormat sections under the feet would...
$20 shipped for 50 lefts and rights (you need both). That's far less than a single set sold by "community vendors" (who also will charge you another $10 for shipping).

I tossed together a thing....
Bolted down a 24" x 24" Harding as battery box for the trailer.
Two Walmart deep cycle batteries
Two battery holder bases with straps
Solar controller
Battery disconnect
Power monitor
120v charger
Inverter
120v in and out connections
Cooling fan
50 amp circuit...
I'm surfing the TM as best I can do with my phone. Truck starts just fine, but no power to the controller.
Trying to find which relay to check but it's 180 degrees in this cab. LOL
I'll also pull the dash and inspect for lose wire,
I picked up a PVAB for $25 awhile back. I figured I could make a potato launcher or something out of it if it was missing bits, but after cleaning up the valves and installing a new set of batteries I aired it up everything works. Best I can tell, it is complete..
The only thing missing was...
I tossed my seat in today. They are heated (though I won't be needing that in S TX but perhaps someday).
Trying to sort out wiring. I know it has at last one set of leads going to some sort of cable release (that I have clipped at termination).
Ran across this just now.
I wonder who else makes them. Tesla plugs will be stupid expensive (but still less than surplus I bet).
LOL

I picked up one of those blood coolers at auction a few months back. Got it for a steal (they've gotten stupid expensive lately). I knew it was too large to really incorporate into my build, but I wanted it for the M1082 trailer (it's my "platform" to sit in the shade and watch bikinis...
Some nice stuff in this build.
Maybe I'm ignorant of the ways of the world, but does that subframe system (see very end of video) seem to be all over the place at the slightest bump?
I'd almost be afraid of what that would do in a gusty crosswind going down the highway. I wonder if it...
I shied away from these a few years back only due to the cost of the refill bags (if they weren't veteran-owned and made in the USA I'd have China clone me the replacement cassette for half of what they charge). The "cassette" is really nothing more than the ring,. a long Mylar bag (which gets...
I figured it was $50 each, but when he said come get both I did. It was local so too hard to pass up. 2020 takeoffs from a handicap conversion. He said they never were even sat in.
Wasn't planning on going this route and they may end up in another project, but if I like them enough I'll fab...
I'm starting to gather the bits I need for plumbing and electrical.
I'll have 1) shore power 120v, 2) generator pushing 120v to the hab (the gen also has 240v for my welder should the need arrise), and 3) battery/solar.
I have my mind wrapped around the concept of an automatic switch, but I...
So I saved this pic for a rainy day (not my truck in top image) because I liked the concept's potential for stowage, luggage, motorcycle, etc.
I want to fab a few various decks for it depending on what I'm hauling. And I want it to "go away" so I can still pull my M1082 , car hauler, etc...
Congrats to the new owner.
Fun project.
Only one I've ever seen come thru GP. Of the two others in civilian procession, one is owned by Texas Hill Country Rescue and the other (rv know as "Bantha") is actually a mockup using a long frame chassis combined with an older version box from a...
