I have the same thing in my latest 003. I was thinking it was related to jammed shut of solenoid, which tends to stick in off position, but have not verified that yet. Please post what you find out.
I bought a complete reconnection box from someone parting out an 002. It looks unmolested and has good static R-3 resistance. I figured I would have to take four wraps off the current transformer so it have the four wraps instead of eight. But it only has four wraps like my 003. Both of my...
If the plunger shaft is broken, it is not easy fixed as it is mated with head, if it is just a pin, you may be able to fix if that is all that is wrong. Buggerage and metal shavings a bad sign though. If you replace the pump, pay attention to timing button thickness. There is good general info...
I think he means check if the diodes are good. Should be very little resistance (OHMs) in one direction and a lot in the other. You can do this with generator not running.
I would try replacing master switch before I went any further, as it is such an easy fix to try. Like any ignition type switch, it can develop a bad spot.
If you want to try the clogged sock theory, blow some compressed air up the fuel line. If that helps, go ahead empty the crud from tank, replace or clean the sock, as it will clog again soon if you don't.
I think the EUC designation is sometimes more random than that. There is currently a 80's civy gas pickup on auction at a certain site with an EUC on it. Someone clicked a button on a computer form.
This is a real safety issue. If you put them in cab, they should be secured and in a battery box of some kind. It would be best if it was vented outside cab. Ever get a lungful of acid fumes? Not to mention shorts, acid burns and fires if there is an accident.
Well, I tried another breaker out of the old 002. Same bad R-3 reading. Same loading problems. The more I look at the workmanship on the reconnection switch installation, the more I suspect that is the problem. There are a couple 16g wires involved in R-3 circuit that go though S-6.
Looks...
