I have heard of pinholes in a pickup tube. If you disconnect the hose from the pickup and hook up a secondary fuel source and that's fine then chances are there's an issue with your tank. You could always just replace the tank.
I live down the street. I swapped the humvee for the m1078. They don't have enough weight to stop that. There's a vid in the lmtv forum of me pulling 23k+ of concrete on the sled. I have some heavy straps so I suggested a tug o war. They were working up to doing a few trucks against the lmtv but...
Stock truck. Only thing I changed were some lights. 6.5 with 3spd trans. I did 18 psi in the front 20 rear. I should have gone lower. Low range 1st gear. I tried giving a bit of brake it didn't help. 12k was just too much weight for a 5500lb truck to pull.
Weighed in at 5500lbs. Should have distributed some extra weight in the floor pans first. The lowest diesel class was 7000lbs so I was at a big disadvantage to begin with. There is 12000lbs of concrete on the sled. I got it a few inches. I think if I had an extra 1000lbs of weight evenly...
When you do put it back together if any of the yokes on tcase or diffs are damaged or out of round they have to be replaced or you run the risk of imbalance and chucking a driveshaft. George can tell you about that one.
If the shafts are only slightly bent you can still cage the brakes and winch it onto a trailer. Just don't try to drive it. Sometimes the caging bolts are with the truck there are places to store them on the chambers.
Regulator box on alternator/ Front red terminal is 24v regulation. It divides to do 12v regulation. White terminal on back of regulator is ac output. This can be used to drive a tach.
I find the throttle cable to be the leading cause of stiffness. Sometimes it routed with a tight bend in the engine bay and moving it so its sitting with a more subtle curve helps. At the rubber boot by the fuel pump, temporarily put a hose clamp on the bracket side of the boot. Spray silicone...
Its a 2002 Freightliner glider kit (cab, front axle and frame) with rebuilt Cummins big cam mechanical engine and the 2 rear axles from a first gen M915. And throw in an Allison HD4560P wtec3 trans. So the glider kit has a full 17 digit vin. Its a neat truck.
Picked up a M915A4. Has a Freightliner glider kit full vin number but when I run the vin it comes back as a military series FLD120 incomplete vehicle. I dont see any other data plate with a military serial number which is what I would normally use to reg a military truck. The component data...
