No always drain the tanks. Does water come out? Do you have the finned tube air dryer?

There is an air pressure switch off the side of the right tank tells the system there is enough pressure to do its thing. I would check that first and then any electrical connections.

Could be a bad light switch or bad connection somewhere. Or a bunch of burned out bulbs. Have you done any troubleshooting yet?

Who tested the alt? You cant test it without a good regulator.

Check that harness. Follow along the drivers side frame rail and over to the trans. Check the trans mating connector its about a foot off the trans pigtail. Check the tps branch off. I have seen bad harnesses.
