The think the slave cables are 2/0, but I think for our use on trucks that 1/0 should be fine.

I think the reg. in your 2nd pic is the cutoff for the compressor. I would move it all the way in and try it or replace it.

And the other little wires are 24v for the ABS if you have ABS on your truck.

I do not know about Utah's laws, but in AZ if the GVWR is over 26000 and you have a Histroic plate you do not need a CDL to drive it. In most states a M35A2 (2.5 ton) is less then 26000 GVWR so you do not need one anyway. A 5 ton is over 26000 lbs.

It helps to remove the power and start switch, But be sure to remove the ground cable from the batteries!!! Then it should come out 4-5 " with out removing the tach or speedo cables.
