Getting this back to the tee shirt concept, put me down for two in large, two in medium, one in XL, and one in small for GIP if she helps out in the MKT.
The two in the pictures went to the scrapyard two weeks ago. They are probably in China now. Only things saved were the fuel tank on one and some of the 22.5 inch rims (deuce pattern lugs).
And at their rated RPM's (2200), they will last 8,000 to 12,000 hours between engine re-builds. If we would govern ours down to 2200 RPM under load, there would not be anywhere as many rods coming out the sides of the block!
If your in-tank pump is not working and you have 'soldier B' and an air compressor - then you can restore the prime! What you need to do is to make sure there is at least 10 gallons in the tank (more is better). Have soldier B put the end of the air hose in the open fuel cap, then try to plug...
While it's been three years (Apr 08), the guy that got a bunch of WD-1A is Michael Hurd, of Trumansburg, NY. I got four spools from him (each was 32,600 feet - about 6 miles). Each wooden spool weighed over 275 pounds. PM me for his address and phone number (as of Apr 2008).
I talked with Adam on the phone. We can set up the field sinks for washing pots and pans on his and not have to go down to ground level. I'll get with him at the VA Rally and discuss details. He'll also have a couple of M-59 ovens so we can cook grits, boil water and still have two making...
They can also be solid black and black with a white stripe (IE, no red). In that case the solid black in negative, and the striped is positive (Per an e-mail from Solargizer a couple of years ago).
Not exactly MKT stuff, but Gimpy has four Food Sanitation Center stainless steel sinks of mine that he picked up for me. Takes three for the FSC (wash rinse, sterilize). Got to be able to wash up the pots and pans after cooking! They don't have the two piece bases or the covers, but look good...
I've measured as high as 52 volts when laid out flat and the sun overhead. As has been said, it is a pulse of high voltage at low amperage that makes them work. I have units that were made without the LED's, so they must have had some problems with them and just decided to drop them from...
It may be cheaper to get an M105 trailer and a 275 gallon IBC tote (325 gallon IBC's are also made) and make your own. The M149's I've seen are going for very good money - too rich for my blood and wallet!2cents
Replacements are available - OD Iron, Saturn, Memphis, Erik's, large truck stops, heavy truck dealers and heavy truck repair (including truck tire) shops.
Zout,
Get us the cost of the oinker so we can figger the meal cost that night, and we'll go from there! It just means more chili-mac for PB, Kenny and Angie!
Studebaker, Kaiser-Jeep, AM General, General Products Division of Jeep Corp - all were made in the same factory! Pics of the place have been posted several times here on the site.
Russell,
If the roof is in relatively good shape, just use the aluminum/tar roofing mix. One gallon did the top of an M109 with almost a quart left over - and it's paintable after it sets up. I left the top w/o any paint since the aluminum reflects the sun (heat) better and that is always a...
When I drove from Columbia, SC to San Clemente, CA it was more like 2400 miles. I-20 to where it merged with I-10 in west Texas, then on to I-8 north of Tuscon and over the Imperial valley to San Diego, and about 75 miles up I-5 to San Clemente. I was in a big Beemer and did 70+ from an hour...
