The filters DO hold another 2qt of oil. I have always been advised to never tow a trailer heavier than the tow vehicle, unless the trailer has it's own brakes. The M109 needs to be fixed eventually, why not fix it there and drive it home?

If it's the M1009 in NM I am thinking of, no back window or batts and full of red dirt, you might want to bring a trailer. That one has sold at least once before and not picked up, it may have some serious troubles.

In my case it was a way to get rid of the leaky factory system.
