@Montaillou. I'd look for a shop that has experience with installing a ARB in a Rockwell 2.5 Ton. They are popular in the 4x4 off road community. Having to "see" the locker, doesn't inspire much confidence...........but theres always beginners luck.
if I install a blast gate on my snorkel side of the air cleaner, would the 1" compressor line connected on the air cleaner allow a run away engine to suck air from the compressor intake to keep it running?
thats where a air locker would be better in the front. Also you can still run the regular hubs and engage/disengage the locker from inside the cab with a flip of a lever.
If you cant find anyone, do a short trip everyday like its a "daily driver", from just a few miles, to 20-50 miles. that will usually shake the bugs out and still be within reasonable towing distance if something occurs. Keep a eye on your fluids (especially the brake fluid level) and a cheapo...
I have heavy duty jack stands, but a good big firewood round is more stable if its green and cut square on both ends. they are my preferred stands when I don't have a concrete slab to work on..........which is always.

thats odd to claim grease breaks down the rubber boots, when there is a hundred million axle shafts packed full of grease in most newer automobiles on the road. The life expectancy seems to be around the 5 year range for mine, which considering that they are also rotating too, unlike the deuce...
@ slate......that really doesn't seem to be much oil. Mine leaks like that, and a few dozen other places too. I had a Triumph motorcycle that leaked about the same and rode the thing for years. If the clutch isn't slipping, then consider it rust preventative.
Often shops now hire/use their semi-journeyman mechanics to do a lot of the work, and it shows months later with premature wear on parts, usually out of warranty too. The shop may have indirectly done you a favor.
with the AD9 air dryer installed on the deuce, you can wire the 24vdc heater into the ignition/power switch. then turn the switch on for a minute before starting the truck.
BTW...its in the technical manual section on the website if you do not have the manuals. Also, If you use the search section and type in "oil pan gasket replacement", you'll have to sort through a couple hundred threads before finding one or two that actually pertain to the oil pan. Not good if...
