@ TMG.........read all the posts on this thread. You promised to send brackets by friday.....almost 2 months ago. You may win back some customers here with the false promises, but I will never order anything from you. BTW Mrmag1 wasn't the only one that complained, so again, your above statement...
You have successfully pulled the curtain back for us here, so we don't make the mistake of ordering something from them. thank you. BTW, Ive had good luck at b..m....m....p..l
A large structural steel shop that builds commercial high rise, usually has a "Bull press" that straightens very large beams and box columns after they have been welded. I bet that could be straightened at a reasonable price, versus buying another one. You may consider adjusting (lower)the prv...
Im running dual 11/20 on the rear and have 7/8-1 inch clearance at the trunion, not enough to run tri chains. Im running michelin xl 14.5x20 on a3's in the front. So in the winter I'll single chain the front and rear outside tires if I need them.
the winch is protected by its 3/8 inch mount plate, and the separate 3/8 inch fairlead mount that is 2 inches in front of the bumper and winch. If you bend it, you have bigger problems. I'll post better pics later. BTW people that are thinking of a rear mount had better consider wire size to run...
IIFC, Rustystud was going to get his back tuned up at the hospital. I hope he's recovering fine. Ive had 4 tune ups myself and it takes a few weeks to get around again depending on the procedures.
as you can see, if you extend the bumper out another 2 1/2 inches, you could have the winch 3-4 inches higher up. That doesn't work for my app. It would work fine for recovery though.
I extended my frame to move the bumper out 2 inches. This allows me to use the existing frame mount holes for the bumper and shackles, add a hole for the lower bumper bolt and keep the winch up at the elevation I need it for my use. The biggest PITA is drilling and welding all the spacers needed...
just center your mounting bolts on your plate and your spool will be centered. The drive motor side is longer, so make sure you have a minimum of 13" clearance from the centerline on the motor side.
you stated that either pressured up, or no pressure, assuming you mean air pressure, the brakes go to the floor on the first push, then on the second push, gives you full pedal. That usually is a bad master cylinder, or a leak in the hydraulic side somewhere. are you loosing fluid?
you should look into rebuilding, or replacing the air pack if its giving you problems. Id, be more worried about running in the back of someone else if you loose some braking force. Do you keep your tanks moisture drained?
Are you in a rush? I just got my Sherpa Stallion a few days ago, and am in the process of mounting it. Im putting it under and behind the bumper, with a mount plate 5 inches below the frame, and adding 2 inches on the front, to move the bumper out 2 inches. This will allow me to use some...
