23rd ARIZONA MILITARY VEHICLE SHOW JANUARY 25-26, 2014

I'm going to call around tomorrow and see if I can find a shop that can work on my 16.00-20's for me; I'd really like to be able to bring my truck to this. -WRM

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

No news lately unfortunately; haven't been able to do much with the holidays...and I just came back from vacation last week myself. With any luck, I'll be back at it soon. Next on the list is dismounting all the wheels/tires to patch up some holes, change o-rings and valve stems. -WRM

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

Pretty good; I'll try to get some pictures up this week sometime. I've got the 8" lift on and had the rear driveshaft lengthened/balanced. Now I need to find the time to disassemble all the wheels/tires to change out the valve stems and o-rings. Also need to remove all the run-flats and...

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

No additional progress yet; just waiting for some time to free-up. The only time I can really work on it is Saturdays, and then only if somebody is gonna be at the shop. So, I'm pretty much at the mercy of their schedules. -WRM

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

If you caught my other thread a while back, you know that I was having a bit of a time finding replacement valve stems for the wheels. The valve stem that I ended up using was PN 12301120, and it fits like a glove in the MRAP wheels; almost like it was made for this application. Also, I had...

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

Just for future reference, I installed one of these stems today, and I couldn't ask for a better fit; almost like it was made specifically for this application! -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

Ah, I got'cha...I didn't know they just altered the end of the part number for a different length. -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

The price is certainly right, but at ~4.75" long, aren't they a bit short? I don't have any of my wheels/tires in front of me, but I don't remember much of the valve sticking outside of the wheel and mine are a little over 6.25" long. Do you have to use some sort of extension to reach them? -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

I already have the Meyer's catalog sitting on my desk at home, but didn't see any "sure things." That's why I posted to see what someone else may have used in this situation... -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

Another possible fix for anyone else in this situation (too late for me) if you have access to a lathe: buy the female valve stem part (the little plug you see in the rear of my new stem), and turn down the threads until it will fit inside the stock valve stem. From there, you could probably...

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

After looking at a few different options, the tire store and myself decided that this was probably the best replacement: It's PN is 12301120, and it's supposedly the valve stem used on the M900 series trucks with CTIS. All the measurements look like they're pretty much spot-on, so hopefully...

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

For reference, the measurements from my stem are: Rim Hole = .803-.804 Length from center of rim hole = ~6.250 Offset = ~.750 Angle = (2X) 8-12° -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

Thanks for the reply DatGuyC. After installing the "spud," where did you find the long stem to screw into them? -WRM

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

I purchased some MRAP-style replacement wheels for my project ( My Bobber Thread ) and I'm just now getting around to working on them. I broke an o-ring, but I believe I've got that handled (won't really know until I can air them up). Now, I'm having issues with the valve stems. A large bore...
