I carry this 3 ton floor jack from Home Depot. Lifts fine, is high enough and was cheap: 3-Ton Commercial Jack-MPL1449-HD at The Home Depot I also have a couple of 3 ton jack stands that were also pretty cheap from Harbor Freight. Again, they were high enough and the price was right.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Found a driveshaft shop in Miami and will have an estimate to replace the end yoke (rear to diff) on it (and u-joints while it's there). I will probably go with a used rear diff yoke, put it all together and call it done for another 25 year...I hope! If anybody else...

ken - Well I see what you are saying. The cover is indeed different and when I drained/cleaned/filled the diffs the gaskets were different as well. Are you saying that the covers/parts are interchangeable?

Hi Guys - My rear u-joint "grenaded" and caused the prob in the pics. Does anybody have a source to purchase a new rear diff pinion yoke? Also, I have seen mention of the NAPA part number for those u-joints being NPJ P534G but do we know what the spicer 13XX equivalent...

Mine were slow too...did a capacitor (i think that's what they are) bypass and screwed in a new ground and they are much better.

My '09 ran amazingly well when I got it although it looked like it had 25 years of dust and dirt caked on the interior. So I was lucky enough to dedicate a little time doing ALL of the above at my leisure! The Tranny pan leaked as well as both diffs. The diff oil was NASTY but all other fluids...

Just pulled my heater core due to the same green puddle in the passenger side floor. Thanks a bunch to IRWFO for the pics. Between those and the -20 it was an easy pull. I have a new heater core and hoses, cleaned up the heater box but can't find the heater core seals. Mine are in pretty bad...

Good job Choll!! I drive my 1009 the 750 miles between Miami and Ft. Bragg regularly with no problems. I find the truck WANTS to drive 80-85...and does it smoothly. Glad ya had a successful road trip!

Nope. Every window in my 1009 leaks but not THAT bad to need drain holes! Would be a good place I guess...
