    Clear coat over CARC

id expect that it would be much to shiny for most of our applications but I'm interested in seeing the outcome none the less.

Has anyone here used this tool?

use one just like it all the time on vehicles around the house, do a lot of work for friends and family. ive never had the pleasure of using a press but then id hate to have to remove a control arm just to press the ball joint out. auto zone has them on their loner tool program so i just get it...

Air in injector return lines and rough idle?

ive batted the idea of turning the pump up a bit but ive been pleased with my power output and i want to do as much as i can to extend the engines life. any idea where the air is getting in? i don't have and fuel leaks around the injectors that i can see and the nuts around the lines are all snug.

Air in injector return lines and rough idle?

I've been challenged by a hard start issue over the winter and attributed it to a fuel leak at the injector pump head and old filters. Now it's warm and ice changed the filters and fixed the leak but I'm still having issues. It will start most of the time above 50 degrees without a problem but...

Random Prices Of Having a Deuce Shiped

there is actually a forum for this i think its "transportation needs" on the main page. anyway its going to be difficult to get a good idea around here until you have dates and times. also i have read alot about using U-ship to transport these but again you need to post the shipping requirements...

Buying my first deuce... what color paint

Paint it how ya like but honestly I'd keep it the color flat unless your doing some serious body/prep work. These trucks arnt generally pristine in condition after years of "use" to put it gently. Gloss anything is just gonna stick out and if it's a mud truck who wants to deal with the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I've got an ongoing tread about it. I will have some more up to date pics later today posted there. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=67307

    show your aux light setups

Well after a bit of a setback I made some good progress today, fist warm day in months and I even got a bit of sunburn. Installed the 12volt alt but haven't run the wires or installed the battery yet, made the frame for the lights and made and welded in a bull bar to protect the winch lights...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Installed a 12 volt alt, installed Saturn surplus's wiper upgrade kit, made a bull bar and welded that in place, and continued work on my overhead light rack.

    I know it's bad Karma

I agree with the air brakes as possibility but looking at the pic it almost seems like the wheels dug in more on one side, as if they had spun backwards on that side. This would lend weight to the possibility of a driveline lockup. If it's driveline then just pull the axle and tow away, brakes...

    O Lordy

It's a pretty common occurrence for people, esp retired military, to think my m35 is a 5 ton. I guess it looks a lot bigger next to civi cars than it does at the motor pool. I know I was sad the first time I saw it at the gl lot and of course there was an 813 with oversized tires 10 feet away...

    m35a3 exhaust height

I might be wrong on this but isn't the standard cargo bed 8'x12'? I That would make it kinda hard for the truck to be 7'2" wide... Not that the width is relevant to this topic.

    m35a3 exhaust height

be aware that although there are many resources that can provide you with the spec height of the truck in various configurations you will find alot of variance between those numbers and some of the "real world" trucks. in the case of stack height i have seen a lot of unit modified stacks for...
