To clear a hazed lense, wet a cloth with mineral spirits or other solvent and rub the face quickly in a circular motion. When the hazing starts to clear and before your solvent starts to dry, STOP. Repeat as needed.
I screwed up a few gauges trying to remove paint and the above method allowed...
I used some to unstick a few metal hinges that had rusted stuck. I had tried heat and penetrating oil with no success, but a few days in the evapo-rust and the hinges were working again.
Good example is the bolts that hold the mud flaps in place.
I had to swap a mudflap, lost a fine thread fastener and swapped in a course thread bolt and nut from my "misc" box. I think for this application it will be fine.
Most of the time I'd head over to the local ACE hardware to source...
I thought I read somewhere that silicone was a no-no here.
When I replaced mine, I went over to the local Ringpower and bought a section of bulk hose. The part number of the hose is "371-8094" and I paid .37 per CM.
I found the original hose specs listed online by doing a search for the NSN...

I'd love to get the guts from the stock AC if you still have them. Mainly interested in the condenser fan motors and the blower unit with the power resistor assembly. Let me know and I'll drive down this week if they are available.
I use ospho regularly on rusty or bare metal. I dont use latex paints. The last couple paint jobs were done with Rapco Gillespie for green and brown, both using rattle cans and a HVLP sprayer. For the black, I usually just buy rustoleum flat black.
When doing camo, I spray a base coat of green...
I seem to recall seeing photos of a M1010 in CA on GL with the GPFU still intact. Other than that rarity, I've never seen one photographed or in person. I was starting to doubt their existence.
Slowly I am seeing benefits from the new site. The options missing still bother me, but there are new options. I particularly like when viewing an event the little side bar shows how many lots are in each state listed by state for that particular event.
That saves time instead of sorting the...
Nope, that just changes the listing of sites with or without lots within the state. You still need to navigate into each site and not the whole state. Advanced search allows it though.
I also miss the little check box for going down a listing, ticking the ones I want to watch, then submitting...
