    Air Disc Brakes

If you use 22.5 versions, you can switch to the wheels too and get access to cheaper tires. The only downside that I know of is the lack of aggressive tread for 22.5 rims.

    Crazy about the new M-ATV

Now that I think about it, most of the MRAPs are probably going to be very tough to get through surplus due to the armor. :(

Lockouts on the deuce. Wow big diff.

JT, If you're moving down the road with one axle-shaft pulled, the open spider gear will rotate at the same speed as the one that still has a shaft, at the difference in rotational speed of the ring gear and remaining shaft is zero. For this reason, I can see no benefit (maybe turning radius)...

    Is my M35A2 starter waterproof?

about beer can size is right. to disassemble, the copper disk is held on by a small (1/4") nut. when you take that off, be very careful as there's a spring behind the disk. I found this out the hard way and had to figure out how to put it all back together  To rotate the disk, all you...

I'M IN LOVE lol No really I am!

What does the sidewall say for size? I was under the impression that 53" (16R20) michellins won't fit without different fenders.

    Is my M35A2 starter waterproof?

If it has the large solenoid on the starter like mine does, the copper disk inside may need to be rotated to a fresh section.

    four-down-sixty AC? Or in the 5 ton's case, two-down-55 :)

    Common Oil Pressure?

    That's about where mine's at, also with John's spin-ons.

    Headlights

I know this is an old topic, but I've put the same 70/75W setup on my deuce and they're fantastic. Ordered my parts from Susquehanna. They are vastly superior to DOT spec, as even with the high wattage you won't blind oncoming traffic or the person in front of you due to the cut-off pattern...

    Noisy Braking

If I were you, I'd tighten the mounts and replace the known-to-be-bad u-joint and drive it again. That eliminates possibilities that you know exist. my 2cents

max HP out of a 465 multi fuel?

Are they all one particular variety of LDT, or different versions? My Deuce has a -1D engine in it, and I'm curious if it has the squirters or not.

M35 Master Cylinder NAPA Part No. Anyone?

I tend to take the part I need into napa and search the catalogs, or give a description and find a part that fits.

    Crazy about the new M-ATV

I also see those going down the interstate often. Seen a couple of HEMTTs, FMTVs, and HMMWVs as well.

    Newb - Roll off???

bridge trucks aren't what you call "readily available" What you could do is splice an M818 with a PLS from a HEMTT, as both come up on GL with some frequency.

Blue Ridge Parkway MV Road Rally

Vehicle limit at 5T curb weight or payload? I'd assume it isn't curb weight that you were referring to. Either way, I'll see if I can make it.

Would there be any interest in an all Stainless steel brake line kit for a deuce?

I'm interested in a set. I plan on keeping my deuce as long as its still in one piece or someone offers an obnoxious price for it.

    818 locker install

I don't think ARBs are available for 5T axles, but I could be wrong.

    Starter Issue. Need help!

I pulled my starter yesterday because it would "click" but not engage. Found out that the copper disk inside the solenoid was pretty well toasted, so I pulled it apart (be careful as it has a spring inside) and reversed the disk. works great now, and if it gets messed up, all i have to do is...

    Free gas for my deuce?!

Be careful with using high percentages of WMO. See this thread on page 3 and 4 for what can happen when it is overused: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/51661-no-power-egts-up-there-help.html It helps to cut the WMO with gasoline to make it flow a little better in the cold and add a bit of...
