NOTE: This is comparing 1/2-3/4 ton truck frames to 1ton truck frames (rear springs).
Frame rails are same width apart BUT 1 ton frames have narrower rear spring mounts (springs sit closer to frame rails).
ALSO note 1/2-3/4 tons, shocks are outside frame rails
1 tons are...
They are k10's & k20's.
The 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton spring perches are the SAME, only the 1 tons are different.
The 1tons have a NARROWER width & shock mounts are opposite.
Lower pressure will cause MORE bounce ( more sidewall flex)
Flat tires WILL bounce !
Dont believe me put a flat tire on a trailer & pull it 70mph, see what happens.
Like someone else already posted about these m1102's 30-35 psi works pretty good.
Thats for the crappy factory tires they put on it !
Exactly why I remove that sticker & write in sharpie
"read the f***ing tire"
I run load range E tires on wife's yukon.
When it's taken in for service they drop the air pressure to 35psi
tires look flat when they drive it out.
I don't know if this helps or not but here goes.
I have a 2000 3500hd with the HO turbo 6.5, nv4500 & 4.63 gears.
That truck is absolutely gutless. It will run highway speeds but that's about it.
I would rather have a fi350 or 454 any day over that 6.5.
Thanks timarr
I do understand what your saying.
I don't plan on removing them once installed but you know how that goes.
I wasnt familiar with it & didn't know if it was a one time only use.
Thanks for your input.
Are you able to remove them & reinstall them, or is it a one time use ?
It's funny how you can search this sight, find nothing.
Make a new post, do same search again & find all kinds of info.
