Wow...good price for the west coast. I've bought them on the east for around $100 and still have trouble selling them. There are just too many of them around here.

The Trailer King
RE: Re: RE: Roof rack
Graham,
Thanks. I'm able to double my payload and keep the back clear for my bed. I built a plywood shelf that is the same height as the rear seat when it is folded down. I put another piece of plywood over it and then blow up my air mattress. I'm able to keep five...
Nice trailers. How much did they go for?
If you need any other trailers for your trucks, let me know. I have a a few different ones for sale at my home in Eureka, Nevada.
Thanks,

The Trailer King (A nickname given to me by the Unimog community.)
The trailer towed ok. It bounced a lot because it didn't have any weight on it. Because of the bouncing, it ripped the steel on my step bumper. Time to beef it up a bit.
Yes, they are M37 rims. These trailers are a rare find and were only used by the Marine Corps, usually on air strips...
Has anyone done a turbo conversion on their CUCV? I noticed that the M1009 is slow on long inclines and steep mountains, especially with a trailer. Would adding a turbo help with this? How about gaining a little power at higher elevations?
Thanks,
Mike Pop
List,
I was able to acquire a Canadian cage for an M101 trailer. I've used the aluminum wire mesh sides on my trailer and put the wire mesh cover on my Blazer. I've managed to moe than double my payload and keep the inside of the Blazer empty for my bed and gear. I've found it to be an...
List,
For those of you interested, here is a trip report for my annual vacation to Northwest Mogfest. I put on 7,500 miles on my military Blazer in a period of three weeks.
August 9: Left NJ and made it to Memphis, TN to pick up a Marine Corps trailer destined for Sheridan, OR.
August 10...
Semi comfortable? Heck, it was really nice after I put in a Freightliner seat with arm rests! I'll post a trip report soon. I think I logged about 7,000 miles in my M1009 in three weeks.
Bjorn...thanks for the hot and a cot! Great collection of stuff you have!

I solvd all of my trailer wiring problems by only buying military trailers.
I have a bunch for sale, mostly located in Nevada. Email if you need something.

Many thanks to Bruce in California and Chris Stansbury for calling me. Bruce was able to help me locate a wiring diagram. I started bypassing wires and found that there must have been a break or short in the purple wire off the starter to the relay. I put in a new wire and ran it along the...
I am leaving for a trip today and my CUCV won't start.
Yesterday, the starter relay was acting up and letting the starter continue to run. In order to stop and start it, I just disconnected the relay.
I went out this morning and tried to start it and got nothing. I had a new starter so I put...
Chris,
No pics yet. It's still located in Oregon and it will probably remain in Nevada after I buy it. We'll see about Aberdeen.
It's funny...I've gone from a 9' tall, 18' long Unimog to a 4' tall, 9' long Mighty Mite! Talk about extremes!!!
Mike
I just agreed to buy a friend's Mighty Mite. It's an M422A1 that is in running, drivable condition, complete with bows, canvas, and doors. I'm so excited! I guess selling my Unimog U1300L was a good idea?

I didn't even notice that you were in Pt. Pleasant. Yes, I do have an M101 trailer but I use it for myself. I do have a 1 ton Ben Hur for sale, needs restoration. It would be good behind a CUCV.
Mike
I'm making my annual trip to Northwest Mogfest again. This time, I will be driving my M1009 from NJ to TN to pick up a trailer and then onto my home in NV. From there, I will drive my Unimog up to Oregon.
It's going to be a long drive as usual but at least the M1009 can do 75mph.
Mike Pop
I am making a trip from my home in Central NJ to my home in Central Nevada and then going to a Unimog event near Salem, Oregon. Depedning on what has to be hauled, I will be driving my M1009 and an M101 trailer. I would have space for just about anything that would fit in the trailer. Let me...
