This tool was in my truck that I picked up on Monday along with a 8 ton bottle jack.
The tool is stamped: 10508 Ken-Tool USA
I googled the tool and there are very similar Ken-Tool tools like this
but not by this part number. It has the 1 1/2" hex on the lower end and the 3/4" square on...
I am confused about the marking on the door.
I understand the CARC and 06 for "CARC last applied in 2006".
What is does the rest mean??
Inquiring minds need to know now that it is sitting in my driveway.
PS: I forgot to mention that the intake scoop for the heater is backwards.
Think that...
Here is a '72 M35A2C truck from G.L. @ Camp Shelby but was actually living in Philidelphia, MS until turned in in Dec. 2007.
Truck drove 53 to 54 MPH all the way. Spring ride seat is nice but you're a lot closer to the steering wheel which is bad for us long-armed guys.
I just noticed that something is missing.
A lot of trucks have a Orange colored cylinder mounted on the L/H Upper area of the firewall.
Is this part of the either start system?
Mine does not have the electric start aid for sure, the worm clamp for this Orange device is there but the cylinder(?)...
When I rescued my truck a while back it had all the axle shafts installed along with the front drive flanges installed just as Uncle Sam likes it.
I notice on the way home on the smooth interstate when I creeped up on 51 or 52 MPH the front end wobbled kind of like the old Willys CJ2A jeeps did...
I know that this topic questionable for this forum but there has been a lot of discussion here too.
I sent my EUC in for the 2nd purchase cerified mail. It was approved in 1 1/2 days and then to B.C. on the 2nd day. This time I did not receive a DLA letter but when straight to Approved by D.L...
What you more experienced owners think about pulling the differentials on a new-to-me truck.
I know that is has been decommissioned since November of 2007 and sitting outside of course. Is there any advantage to pulling the differentials out for a good looking over?
Could this perhaps prevent...
I have been looking for some old drive flanges for the front hubs that are worn out or damaged that could be made into dummy drive flanges without the splines.
I have to make a 200 mile trip and can not seem to find any flanges or other similar devices that are 6 1/4 inches or larger diameter...
I have the statement in the e-mail that lists the numbers for the different amounts that I will pay on my invoice once I am invoiced.
This truck is coming from Mississippi and I am paying $XXX for the actual truck, 0% buyers premium, and 7% sales tax.
My question revolves around this problem...
I have two very poor quality pictures of an engine for a 1972 M35A2C WO/W with 28,000 iles on the speedometer which agrees with Medlog's history check.
Can anyone help me identify this engine? They would not allow me to lift the hood or take my own pictures during preview. Are there any...
Has anyone ever fabricated a mini-troop seat for the forward part of the bed for additional passengers to be used in slow moving parades, etc.
I think that there would be room for two or possibly three young adults to sit if there was a mini-troop seat in that area. I do know that there has to...
Has anyone ever taken a ladder from something like an M109 shop van and retrofitted it to fit and stow on a M35A2 or A2C?
It seems like this would be a nice addition for people riding in the back during parades & festivals.
Could this stow under the frame area or on the tailgate? I don't have...
In reviewing the TMs and the very limited MWOs that I can get my hands on as a guy on the outside, I can not find information on the Electric Wiper Kit that is an upgrade on the M35A2 & A2C trucks.
My 2nd truck that I just purchased has this kit installed and I was wondering if there is an MWO...
Anyone had experience with G.L. at Camp Shelby, Mississippi?
Never been to that base but will be going in a month or so.
Inquiring minds need to know.
After all, you can't have just one!

Hello,
My truck from Uncle Sam had the sunroof and the u-bolts for the rear legs as remnants of the ring mount.
My question is this. Are the plates (2 each) attached to the rear exterior of the cab vertical wall part of the ring mount kit or are all m35 truck equipped with these parts?
I do...
Well I must go on record as saying that I DO NOT recommending anyone faxing their SF-97 request or any other request in to G.L.
I faxed mine 5 1/2 weeks ago, I have the fax machine receipt showing that G.L.'s machine received the phone call, and now "We're sorry but we have no record of...
Well I'm getting ready to change my engine oil and filters.
I'm going to use the OEM filter cartridges this time while saving the $$$ for the spin-on adapters for next time.
My question is this. I purchased two fo the Wix filters and the filter base seal is present but not the gasket for the...
I was able to locate a "Replacement Data Plate" a while back to replace the plate installed by Uncle Sam that was WRONG and damaged.
I just picked it up from the engraver and am tickled o.d. green.
I have attached a PDF picture of it. Remember that this is not the OEM plate and is not is not...
Could someone tell me what size the letters & numbers are supposed to be in the data plate for the weight & dimensions (VIN)?
I think that they are 1/8 or 3/16 but I/m not sure.
I have a new plate coming and I would like to make sure that I have acquired the correct size stamp set to do the job...
One of the trumpets fell out on the road on the way home from G.L.'s lot in Alexandria, Louisiana. It is the longer one and also the lower one as installed.
Anyone ever replaced one on their horn?
Are there aftermarket horns close in size to replace this one or is better to just buy a...
