    Picked up a 923!

Kyle, Nice find, glad you found a truck. Looks to be all there. Get the operator's manual, lots of info needed to operate it properly. Take your time and go through it. I have the spin on oil filter adapter kit listed in the classified. Have fun, roll coal. JC

Mystery squeal under power. Name that tune?

Still sounds belt related, air compressor/belt may be the next area to look at. Some belts get smooth and never grip under power.

MEP003A Ok to run in the rain / jump start?

Yes, I have two units that I use. Great little generator (28v). Won't start a stone dead truck but will charge up low batteries in about 10 minutes. Starts a 002/003 with no problem. Haven't tried a generator without batteries. A buddy of mine has several in stock, PM if interested.

Nice truck, glad you made it. Now get the maintenance and operation manuals (TMs) for the M939 Series trucks, lot to learn. The front drive line turns all the time the truck is rolling. The engagement occurs internally to the transfer case. Source a second set of front axle drive caps and...

Picking up a M934 in Kansas and going to Texas

TJ, Sounds like you have a plan. Hopefully the truck was advertised as running. Drain the fuel/water separator, but leave the tank alone, big hassle dealing with the sumped fuel. Add a good diesel treatment/additive; Howes or Diesel Kleen. If the truck is a true M934, the 11.00 x 20 G177s will...
