    Rear Axle Came Loose...

As of now it's going to sit on jackstands for a while. A septic tank and fixing my tractor have priority....

I would be lucky to find a bare housing for $250...

    M1031 to RV tug..

I'll say this much, I'm never buying a Gates thermostat again. I've also heard they're quality has gone downhill...

    Rear Axle Came Loose...

These 14 bolt full floaters are not an inexpensive easy find in Ga. Everyone knows what they're worth hence me mentioning that they're going for $800-900...

    Rear Axle Came Loose...

Thank you for the heads up... in the meanwhile it's going to sit on jackstands until funds are available to fix it.

    Rear Axle Came Loose...

A 14 bolt FF where I'm at is minimum $800-900... and that's assuming one can be found.

    Rear Axle Came Loose...

For right now it's sitting on jackstands until I can have someone more qualified than me look at it. If it can be saved, I'll save up the funds to fix it. If not I'll part it out...

Look at the top leaf spring real close, it's welded....

    Rear Axle Came Loose...

Any ideas what broke?? I didn't think a 14 bolt FF would break like this. Right away I noticed there's hardly any fluid in the differential.... and yes I noticed the leaf spring. Glad I was very close to the house!!

Keep an eye on that Gates thermostat.... the new one in my freshly rebuilt 406sbc already needs replaced with 3K on the engine.

Doesn't take much to stick my 1031

Had a set of those on my 79 K20 in 235 85 16... good all around tires. Still needed 4wd to get out of some slick stuff..

    M1031 to RV tug..

Mine are on the factory wheels.... and they're great on pavement as well

    M1031 to RV tug..

I'm running KM2's in that size on my 86 M1008 @ 65lbs pressure. Those tires do very well off road... they can get some traction. Money well spent..

How many miles do you drive your CUCV per year?

First year with the 85 M1008 I put 8K on it. Had quite a few trips from Atlanta to west Ga thrown in there. Now that I live in west GA and the other two trucks are running, that number will get cut in half at least.

    208 lost 4-LOW

Apologies for not making it clear; I put the trans in nuetral, move the lever all the way over to the right and it still will not go into 4low unless I shut off the engine.
