Talking to the other guy on here that sells the kit (he was very helpful too) says the amount of fuel and boost he is running would never be achievable without water injection. I think he said he was running like 28 lbs of boost at around 1100° egt.
The only thing I'm undecided about us...
Ok yeah I'm going to start posting that stuff in this thread.
I'm going with a 2 stage injection system. I got a 24v pump that puts out 100 psi factory preset and can be adjusted up and down. The pump is a on demand pump so it will run till it reaches 100 psi then shut itself off. That will be...
So i watched the flyers game then mowed grass then messed with the truck a bit more. Didn't start digging into the rust yet. I'll do that next weekend but I started ripping out the copper air lines. I'm going to be re plumbing the entire air system with dot air line and fittings cause I'm tired...
Problem solved
That's exactly what it was. I went out this morning while I was changing tires I left it ran. Gauge was reading around 140° to 150° and as soon as I touched the mounting stud to the dash to ground it the needle buried itself back to the left reading under 120°. Left it run longer...
I could be the biggest moron on the face of the earth..... could the gauge read incorrectly not being grounded? It swings but could it be off? I'm going to test the sending unit tomorrow and ground the gauge. I have two gauges and both read exactly the same. I'm also going to get a infrared...
Yeah Idk I just can't see why major problems would arise like the water pump or a major clog when it ran before fine and if it was clogged why can I get coolant out of everywhere and it drains fine. Also if the radiator was clogged it would still over heat with no thermostat. So I don't get it...
I'm just so frustrated right now. I can't figure out what is going on.
Idk what but you would think with it being ok with no thermostat that nothing was clogged. Radiator gets warm and it doesn't over heat. You put it back in and it over heats again. I guess tomorrow I'm going to drain it and...
Well I guess I'm taking it back apart and see what else I can get out of it. I want it done right. I'm going to take the radiator to a local place and have it cleaned this week and I'll try flushing the engine again. My boss said pinesol or clr works good to do it.
I'm do mad right now
Yeah but I don't see how there is any air in the system anywhere I cracked all the hoses and got no air out of it at all.
Thanks Thanks for you help rob. You should be a moderator..... always nice and helpful!
Well since there seems to be a problem with posting a new thread outside of this thread I'm reposting it here..... hopefully people look in here and help.....
My truck ran fine before anything was done. I flushed the engine and the radiator separately from each other. I did get a lot of brown...
My hard top has a pinch seam all the way around the door.... well the top and back. I plan on using a gasket that will slide over that and seal to the window.
I don't think either are worth the cost. I did the H4 upgrade and have I think 70/90w bulbs and they are freakin bright. I have no more then $50 into it. I can't imagine spending more then that on headlights that fail or could fail. New H4 bulbs are like $25.
