There have been some suggestions about how to go forward with keeping the site open, and they are still looking at some of them. Possibly upgrading the software sounds like the most logical and easy to me, but I am not a web page designer or admin either - so I don't know. Wes said if nothing...
, I hope they can leave the site up so that the old posts can still be searched and all of the manuals and photos can still be viewed - I would hate to see all of that info disappear! I rebuilt my 'a1 using the m38/m38a1 yahoo group forum (the forum wes started before the willysmjeeps.com) and...
We, over at willysmjeeps.com, just got the announcement from Wes and Ryan that the willysmjeeps.com forum will be shutting down. This was spurred by way too many spam applications, resulting in way too much time having to be spent on administration. The website is free, therefore there is no...
I hate to hear that clinto - maybe somebody else will bring one this year besides me and zout. There was an m151 on the trails, along with tigger's cj2a and oddball's cj5. Another m151 would help out with the smaller vehicle #s.
That would be cool for the dual antenna setups - use one for the am/fm radio and one for a cb. Could you put a tee in there and use one antenna for both? Would be cool to have some tunes along with the cb in my 'a1!
Thats a good start! Mate 'em up and take her for a test drive - no body needed! Another good forum to join is willysmjeeps - dedicated to m series jeeps.
Hi guys! OK, I'm sure this has been asked, but I am in kindof a hurry here. This is for you guys in SC that own 5 tons in SC. I (actually, my brother) is looking at a 5 ton auction that is ending tomorrow in Eastover - a last minute thing on his part. The auction video shows it running/driving...
When you are assembling the main shaft, you can use a wooden dowel the same diameter a the main shaft (i don't remember the size, but the video tells you) - makes life alot easier for you! I dont know about interchangeability between parts. I think I bought my small parts and gasket sets from...
It is a fairly straight forward process - there's actually some youtube videos on the tranny. Make sure you coat the splines of the output shaft with rtv or you'll get a leak there - I didn't, and it is alot harder to do it the second time from under the Jeep! Check the rear main while you have...
Thanks for the pics Darlene (and Don for posting them)! If you don't mind, I'm going to post a few (and the link here) on my blog. I didn't even think about taking any until I found the video camera buried in the Expedition - when I was getting ready to leave! Greasemonkey: I hope they are going...
It was a nice rally - wish I didn't have to leave for the wedding yesterday, but it was nice too. Got to see some friends, eat some good chow (thanks CG!), and pick up some needed (and some not so needed) parts. Talked to alot of vets and gave a couple of rides - I think it was a good rally...
Cool - the mule will be perfect for tooling around the park and vendors! Looks like I'll be leaving a little later than planned - won't be able to get the trailer until tomorrow morning, but I'll have everything done and packed up today so all I have to do is load the Jeep and take off. 1.5hr...
Yeah, last year we had 40 pages for the rally thread + a Parts for sale/wanted thread. Seems like it should be a lot more talk about it! The meal times sound good to me.
