Well, I finally got all the parts to put the winch on my M35A2. But now I want a winch on the "new" M813A1. I can't afford another winch right now, so I'm wondering about putting the Deuce winch on the 5 ton. Anyone done it? I wonder if the only difference might be the length of the driveshaft...

The M813A1 has a rebuild tag on the left rear of the engine. Says it was overhauled at Ft Polk La, but no date shown. Also has "MWO Applied, repaired, 2312, IM or 1M" Anyone know what this means? Eric CBVET

FYI: My non-turbo deuce averages 5 mpg traveling at 55mph. Adding desplined hubs gave me 6.5 mpg. Desplined hubs & 45 mph gave me 8.7 mpg. I will be traveling slower from now on! Eric CBVET
