Jumpin' jimminy! I've noticed that if I reuse old locknuts they tend to work loose over time, especially on the drive shafts. Since the budget is limited and new nylok nuts can be hard to come by on short notice around here, I tend to squirt a little blue loctite on just about everything.

I used about 4 packs of that fiberglass exhaust repair tape to "temporarily" fix my j-pipe before the haspin rally in June. It's still on there. There's nothing more permanent than a temporary repair.

On the cummins, if the fuel line that goes from the filter to the IP gets a pinhole, you'll be sucking air. There are other places to look, but this one seems to be the most common from what I've seen.
