    look at the rear of the engnine, see if its wet, also check the firewall behind the filter base. (I'm betting its the filter base leaking)

    Thats a heck of an accusation to make. No-one is making a living off of this site, its just about self supporting (before the GL ads got pulled). None of the admins here would allow money to be funneled from the site, it all goes back into the site in one way or another.

    Battery Size (cranking amps)

    Standard issue for the batteries are two 6TL's per cucv, each 6TL has 750cca. But I would recommend that you get batteries with ~1000cca each.

    1008 axles to 1009?

    FYI swapping gears in the m1008 axles is EXPENSIVE!!!! You have to get new carriers for the gears for both axles to go to a taller (numberically lower) gear set. the detroit locker in the rear is ~$500 and the front open carrier (if youc an find one) is ~$400, plus gears, plus the install kits...

    RE: Power steering fluid inside my truck from HydraBooster. i agree, the atf made the old seals fail. but when you put the new hydrobooster in , use PS fluid.

    on further thought, just unhook the vacuum lines from teh trans entirely.

    yes you can crack a line to see if fuel is getting to the injectors, if its not then you need to check the fuel cut-off solenoid in the top of the injector pump.

    The red in the ATF is NOT the same red dye that they put in offroad diesel, the chemical test they do will not give a false positive for ATF.

    you can drive without it, the trans will shift at HIGH rpm's and HARD AS HELL. But, it will not hurt the transmission at all.

    I also use a adjustable wrench. If you think the fill plug is bad, just wait till you have to get at the drain plug :evil:.

    When IP's fail its almost never sudden and would not cause a puddle of fuel to leak out with the truck off.

    check the rubber hose the runs from the metal fuel line on the frame to the fuel pump on the side of the engine (the lift pump)

    Oil Cooler lines for M1009

    State-side its very easy to get the lines, you just go to your local chevy dealer and they order them ;) You should be able to find them online.
